If I were Apollo, and I just wanted to fuck with people's heads, why not PM the moderators and inform them that Apollo was Neil? If you're sick of playing the charade, and yet you want to go out with a big bang, why not immortalise yourself in people's memories by making yourself out to be a recently deceased Apple legend? <snip> I had exactly the same skeptical thought. The thing is, a person would require inside information about Neil's health condition in order to "fake" certain things, (such as Apollo's abrupt disappearance, which occurred before Neil's lung cancer was publicly announced). Plus Apollo made comments, (to me and to others), in the weeks before Neil died that can, in retrospect, be clearly interpreted to mean he knew he was on the way out. -j I assume that one of the comments that jumps out in retrospect is "Funny how that keeps comng [sic] up, from time to time. Oh well, yeah life is good. Having a good death is more important." I have read everything that you all have made available from Apollo, and I am convinced that at the very least, he was a prophet on this topic. His position held up even under some pretty intense scrutiny from Jarv. Out of all the insider claims that I have seen, his is the most convincing, but that doesn't make him Neil. All I have at the moment is credible insights, comments that seem significant in retrospect, and an "abrupt disappearance" that I don't think was obvious to those without the benefit of personal messages. There is consistency in what all of you have shared and I believe that you are telling the truth, but part of this is unclear to me. Jojo and Jarv, are you both saying that you believe that this person was Neil Aspinall? Obviously, you are not under any obligation to answer that, but despite having read your words carefully, I can't determine how far your belief goes.

I'm on record early in this thread saying I have no way to know if he was the genuine article. I can only say the illusion gets further past my BS filter than anything I have ever experienced within a "conspiracy theory" context, and by no small distance. If one discharges all prejudicial conjecture, one finds the circumstantial evidence in harmony with the known facts. -j

On January 30, 2008, Apollo C. Vermouth sent the following note to a dozen NIR members:
IF I MAY INTRUDE, ONE LAST TIME... I FIND MYSELF QUOTING THIS MORE OFTEN, AS OF LATE..."LIFE'S BUT A WALKING SHADOW. A POOR PLAYER THAT STRUTS AND FRETS HIS HOUR UPON THE STAGE, AND THEN IS HEARD NO MORE. IT IS A TALE TOLD BY AN IDIOT. FULL OF SOUND AND FURY,SIGNIFYING NOTHING"........... FADE THIS SWAN TO BLACK.... LOVE FROM PAUL... APOLLO C VERMOUTH

Now, why is the ACV account still signing in? Because the machine that ACV used to post all these years is in the possession of the person who delivered the information that ACV had died. So what are we supposed to make of this JoJo?

Originally said by Lennon, if memory serves, with respect to the cover of Pepper. Anyone have a source on that? The song Flying is credited to all four Beatles. Might the "two are flying, two are not" statement imply that only two of the four Beatles appear on the cover of Pepper - meaning two are actors? -j Heh, that would be brilliant on Lennon's part, and it's not too out of character for him to use a bit of shorthand like that. <snip> Another thing that connects here is Apollo's poem, wherein he said, "The other three, you know them two." -j

jarv, what do you mean?

I am referring to the synchronicity of events. Neil A. was our Apollo C. Vermouth, and Neil A. was on Apollo 11. Neil Armstrong was the First Loonie (I mean first lunie heh), and "Got to keep the loonies on the path," from Dark Side of the Moon, was one of Apollo's favorite quotes. -j

I posted that because I thought that , If ACV was really Neil Aspinall, he may have choosen that nick name for both reason: being ACV a Paul's alter ego and Neil the name of the first man landing on the moon with an "Apollo".

I wouldn't be surprised if you are right about that, il ras. Apollo was an exceptionally smart fellow, and it would be 100% in character for him to choose a pseudonym that embodied multiple "secrets." -j

So what are we supposed to make of this JoJo? I don't know.. This person basically chose a "John Doe" name, so we don't know who he or she is either, only that the machine is the same. It's portable, from my understanding of how it works. (like an X-box or Nintendo for internet use) I can tell you that in the history of this forum, no one else ever used this method other than ACV. Similar to AOL in the sense that knowing where a poster is from is impossible.

It somewhat doesn't matter what be believe to be true, IMO it is up to the viewer to decide. On the other hand, we spent the last four years exchanging thoughts with him, spent time considering what he had to say.. cryptic and frustrating as it was at times. We did this away from the public forum, because let's face it.. Whenever he'd poke his head up for a bit, he was met with some harsh comments. Anyway, the ongoing nature of our relationship has given us time to think about the question of who he was, unlike the sudden nature of this posting. For myself, I thought he was saying he was Neil way back when he said this: Occupation-Musician and "Castle Keep."If there ever was a "keeper" of the Beatles Empire, it was Neil. Musician? Well, on occasion..

Jarv, this is an interesting hypothesis...maybe to expand you could say that the "roles" had to continue even after the Beatles were "buried" which explains why Bill had to mimic Paul... <snip> What if we get one guy who looks like Paul, and another guy who sounds like Paul, and call ourselves Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and make a record, and sing over and over again, "We're Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." We'll never say the guy on the cover or the guy on the record is Paul, but we'll let people assume it, and we won't claim to be The Beatles, but we'll let people assume it. Hey man, we told you we were Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band! The record label, the album cover, the songs - EVERYTHING! Hey man, we showed you Beatles were dead! It's so blatant that it went right over everybody's head. -j An ad reprinted in Geoffrey Giuliano's 'The Beatles - A Celebration'. EMI seems to have wanted to "go on the record" so to speak..

So sorry to hear about Neil. Apollo seemed like a nice person and was quite polite to the posters on this forum and TKIN (based on my limited observations). He behaved much like I would think someone from the Inner Core would behave, that is, as a perfect gentleman.

If ACV is truly dead then I for one can't help but find this to be a rather creepy turn of events... Incidentally, perhaps his "machine" is maybe some outdated form of Web TV? I remember 9-10 years ago when a couple of friends subscribed to that service...it was really just a keyboard and your TV.

It would certainly appear EMI had reason to go "on the record," especially I'm sure after they listened to what is on the record!

The lunatic is on the grass. Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs. Got to keep the loonies on the path. The Loon is also a bird. The path is made from breadcrumbs, daisy chains are linked, the cycle of life....as nature intended...... Blue Jay way & bluebird. ....... flying, wings, blackbird..... Far away across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spells.
