I found alot of odds and ends in the books I've been reading and this is one of them. In Paul's brother's book, THE MACS, Mike McCartney was talking about how he got a phone call from "brother" (who I assume is Faul.) It was on 1/26/77 and Faul was informing him of "a new baby in the Macpipeline." Mike McCartney said he wrote in his diary: "Paulin 2 have baby James." Doesn't that imply that there was a Paulin 1?

Most interesting but we need a source.
Though I'm thinking perhaps he called Paul and Linda "Paulin" as a couple.

The source would be the book, Paulumbo, you read that straight from the paper and ink version I assume? Plastic Paul has a good theory, although the "2" still is odd. Any other instances of that? Similar thing with John and Yoko, it's been written by some as "JohnandYoko".

Oh, the 2 means to of course.
"Paulin 2 have baby James" = "Paul and Linda to have baby named James"
Well that's just in the context I put it in anyway.

Sorry for the delay in answering. Yes, I got the information from Mike McCartney's book. And it might be my typo: it might have said Paulin2, but I interlibrary loaned the book and don't have it now, so does another NIR member have access to the book? It would take a week to ten days to get another copy. And just to add another clue w/o starting another thread, Paul's brother in that book said that as kids both he and Paul were nicknamed Maca. That's M-A-C-A. Faul's nickname is M-A-C-C-A. Mike McCartney mentions Faul's nickname when he talks about Faul and Wings successful US tour and says, "Good on yer, Macca."

Another interesting way Mike McCartney phrases things is that when he is talking about his brother in THE MACS, he calls him "my brother" or "our kid", but when he is referring to Faul, he calls him "brother." In the 1960's any male friend could be a bro'.
