Happy Halloween, everyone. Even though I feel stupid for getting tricked into celebrating the Elite's evil, satanic, occult holiday, I still DO love it. With that in mind, here's a new Halloween post on my blog. frommynoggin.livejournal.com/It even contains a photo of me (sort of)... ;D

Old School Halloween Samhain NightWhen the moon on a cloud cast night Shine above the tree tops' height You sang me of some distant past That made my heart beat strong and fast Now I know I'm home at last You offered me an eagle's wing That to the sun I might soar and sing And if I heard the owl's cry Into the forest I would fly And in its darkness find you by. And so our love's not a simple thing Nor our truths unwavering Like the moon's pull on the tide Our fingers touch our hearts collide I'll be a moonsbreath from your side All Soul's NightBonfires dot the rolling hillsides. Figures dance around and around to drums that pulse out echoes of darkness; moving to the pagan sound. Somewhere in a hidden memory images float before my eyes of fragrant nights of straw and of bonfires, dancing till the next sunrise. I can see the lights in the distance trembling in the dark cloak of night. Candles and lanterns are dancing, dancing a waltz on all, all souls night. Figures of cornstalks bend in the shadows held up tall as the flames leap high. The Green Knight holds the holly bush to mark where the old year passes by. Bonfires dot the rolling hillsides. Figures dance around and around to drums that pulse out echoes of darkness; moving to the pagan sound. Standing on the bridge that crosses the river that goes out to the sea. The wind is full of a thousand voices; they pass by the bridge and me. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Modern Day Halloween YT page

I was undecided whether to do Halloween this year. I'm presently unemployed, and to say money is tight hardly begins to describe my finanacial condition. But at the last minute I decided to do it, because afterall, it's tradition, and our parents' generation did it for us, so.... I wanted to be sure I had enough candy, and not just cheesy stuff like Tootsie Roll Pops, so I bought three boxes of Hershey bars with almonds, and some back up Snickers and Hershey miniatures, etc. Evening came, and I turned on the lights, put on the spooky music, and waited for the show to begin. After two Halloweeners had come, THE PHONE RANG. It was a friend of mine. "I think my lung has collapsed. I can hardly breath. I can't move without agonizing pain. I think I may need to go to the hospital. Can you come and take me?" So.... I turned off the lights, brought the candy inside, turned off the spooky music, and drove the 14 miles to my friend's house to see what the fuss was all about, and by the time I got home, at half-passed midnight, Halloween was over. So now I have 3 month's worth of candy! All's well that ends well. (And my friend had just pulled a muscle.) P(D)enny La(i)ne, In looking at your blog, I felt a sense of recognition reading about Mr. Rausch. It seems to me that he may have been our 'driving ed' instructor when I was in prep school as well. The only reason I am having trouble knowing for sure is that he only taught us about 5 times, teaching on a bi-weekly basis, and about a thousand years has passed since I took the course. I remember vaguely remarks about a car being "a guided missile". And (sob sob) after much advance billing, we never got to see Signal 30[/color], because - what else? - he had been in a car accident, and school ended for the year before he could reschedule. Were you in Connecticut? PS - My parents made my brother and I take a week-long driving course with a local fellow who had a car with two steering wheels - one for the aspiring driver, and one for him to over-ride any bad decisions made by the learnee. One thing he would get hot and bothered about was when a left turn had to be made, and the oncoming traffic was unceasing. "You stick a fender into their lane!" he explained, "That way they have[/b] to stop!" He learned me good! Skyward, I loved "All Soul's Night" when it came out. It was one of those "have to have this" songs, and it was what got me started with my 4 cassette collection of her material.

I love Halloween - it's my favorite holiday. As far as I am concerned, it's one of the last vestiges of the enlightened Druidic/Celtic culture that once flourished before being destroyed by Romans & Christianity. I know some people will find that offensive, but that is just my opinion. Sorry.

I grew up in Reading, PA, B, so it's conceivable that my Mr. "Ducky" Rausch and your Mr. Rausch are (were) one and the same. Our driver's ed car had only ONE steering wheel, but TWO break pedals. We called the passenger side pedal the "Ducky" break. ;D

Here's how to be Snow White for Halloween. Just watching this video is enough to give anyone the heebee geebees. This young lady has more stuff on her face than a mummy, has no fear of sharp pointy objects placed near and around her eyes, and has more patience and skill than a doctor. I mean, it's great and everything, but...just buy a mask!

A recent craigslist ad... Need an amputee to complete my Halloween costume (Brooklyn)
"So this might seem strange and really offensive to some but hopefully someone will reply. I have always loved the scene in Empire Strikes Back where Chewbacca has to carry around a half reconstructed C3PO in a backpack because he hasn't reattached his lower body yet. For Halloween I would love to dress up like this. I am big enough and strong enough to both pull off the Chewbacca look and to carry around a lot of weight for the night. So basically I am looking for a double amputee (someone missing both legs - preferably at the hip) to accompany me as C3PO for the evening. We should meet ahead of time so that we can work out the backpack/harness system. There are a few parties that I want to hit and I think we will be the hit of any event we attend. Anyone up for this?" www.toplessrobot.com/2009/10/the_most_awful_nerd_in_america_found.php

wow, B, that's some pretty strange shenanigans those people are up to..... what a shame that crap even exists. I have a few events to attend this year, so I grabbed a 5 dollar "English Bobby" head gear today ( the last one left, too!) and will be going as this MMT guy, lol ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCUiEC3Ld4Q

My favorite part of this story is in one of the comments: "There aren't enough people on Earth to monitor and harrass [sic] all the people who THINK they're being monitored and harassed." ;D

It is interesting to me how many horror/halloween movies are populated by hillbillies. The Texas chainsaw movies,Vacancy,Zombieland, the halloween movies, the scream movies,ect.etc.etc.And of course the Wizard of Oz.And Faul Mccbilly. The message seems to be,watch out for hillbillies.
