I'm copying a short item from my "Seth" thread, because it pertains to apples, and that is on topic, darnit! ;D
The serpent’s egg was known as the Philosopher’s Stone. The alchemists called it ‘the Golden Apples of the Hesperides’ or the ‘golden bough’. The golden apple tree with its golden branches was adopted by Apollo -- who returned to Tula every 18.61 years-- as his sacred tree. In fact, his name, Apollo, comes from the Celtic abal, or apple.
MELON is the Greek word for apple and sheep. (Sheep = Ram?) Therefore, says Ms. Anderson, the Golden Apple is probably identical with the Golden Fleece.16
I don't know if there is a connection between the Golden Fleece and Venus?

Well, I'm noticing that your yellow lines create an 8-pointed star, or an octogram, Jarv. The Star of Ishtar
Because some astronomical objects move through the sky in repeated and known intervals of time, the behavior of the celestial gods associated with them can be symbolized numerically. Ishtar, as the planet Venus, perhaps was handled this way in the eight-pointed star that usually stands for her on Babylonian boundary stones.
References to Venus as early as 3000 BC are known from evidence at Uruk, an important early Sumerian city in southern Iraq. One clay tablet found at the site says "star Inanna," and another contains symbols for the words "star, setting sun, Inanna." Inanna is Venus, known later as Ishtar, and the Uruk tablets specify her celestial identity with the symbol for "star": an eight-pointed star.
www.aloha.net/~mikesch/wheel.htmAnd this: Ishtar, fully armed, stands on her sacred lion. An eight-pointed star, one of her symbols, adorns her elaborate crown. Her forward-striding leg reveals her warrior's kilt. A worshipper stands before her. Behind her is a sacred date palm, with two rampant gazelles uncharacteristically posed opposite each other, giving a suggestion of fighting. Normally there would be one on each side of the tree trying to reach the fruit.

Hey puzzled it would be great if you could provide sources for those bits of information, such as the Greek word for sheep/goat, and the name Apollo, coming from the same root as apple.
Fascinating if true.

Sorry, I included the links in my other thread and I didn't want to clutter yours up with redundant info. Here is the page from William Henry's website: www.bibliotecapleyades.net/merovingians/blueapples/blueapples_13.htmFrom the footnotes, this appears to be the reference he's used: # Ean & Deike Begg, In Search of the Holy Grail and the Precious Blood (San Francisco, Thorsons, 1995), p. 42-43, # William Henry, The Peacemaker and the Key of Life (Anchorage, AK, Earthpulse, 1997).

Oops, I copied the wrong footnote. You can review yourself at his website, but
#
Ibid., Ancient Secrets, p. 93. #
Ibid., Ancient Secrets, p. 105.
Frustratingly, there are several books named Ancient Secrets, so I'm trying to figure out which one he is referencing for this particular quote.
Edit* I believe it is referencing Lady Flavia Anderson's book "The Ancient Secret," even though he has a plural "s" in Secrets. That book pertains to this issue of the Golden Bough, etc.

I have quoted here from book-of-thoth.comTo round off this conclusion, we also see two asp-like snakes or serpents striking the two orbs (pineal and pituitary.) We would also note that these three orbs are the ‘three golden apples’ that rested at the top of the tree (a metaphor for the spine) in the Greek myth of the Garden of the Hesperides. The Tree and the three apples were guarded by the serpent known as Ladon. After slaying Ladon, Hercules took the three apples – in that like Prometheus, he “stole the fire from heaven” – and it was Prometheus who told him how to find the apples. In other words, Hercules halted the ‘alternating-current’ of the opposite serpent energies within him and experienced enlightenment, and through this illumination he also experienced the ’source-center of creation’ – something which was believed to be possessed by the gods only. The ‘apple’ is a symbol of the Toroidal Vortex – the fRUit with the seed at its centre. The whole design of the RU, as shown above the Tau or T-Cross of the Ankh, is indicative of the tree, (the spine) which contains the three golden apples. The RU of the Ankh itself could depict an apple – i.e., a large toRUs or toroid with the “seed stones” (pips) at its centre. As we can see, there are multiple meanings here which all interconnect with the true meaning of the Grail ( centre of the head or brain) and man’s immortality. It’s possible that the ‘three golden apples’ – the pineal and pituitary glands and the thalamus (being the main Golden Apple in particular) are the ‘Golden Bough’ as pointed out by Lady Flavia Anderson in her fascinating book The Ancient Secret: ‘The alchemists often called the Philosopher’s Stone “the Golden Apple of the Hesperides” or the “golden bough”.’ [18] ’The Golden Bough’ - as pointed out by J. G. Frazer, in his book with the same title - is the Mistletoe that was ceremoniously gathered from the Oak tree by the Druids - the priesthood of the Celts. It should be noted that each sprig of mistletoe has up to THREE white berries that turn a golden colour when picked. www.book-of-thoth.com/article1543.htmlDo we not see these "three jewels" represented in the three orbs inside the ancient Egyptian Ankh shown above surrounding the beetle god?We also find that THREE SEEDS from the Tree of Life which stood in the Garden of Eden were placed under the tongue of Adam after he died and then he was buried at Gâghûltâ (Golgotha) the “place of the skull” which was located at the centre of the earth - something else which is giving us an important clue to what all this is leading to and which is the crux of my book Gate of God. In any case, we can see that these "three jewels", "apples", "berries" or "seeds", correspond with everything I have mentioned so far as regards the male (pineal) and female (pituitary) opposites and more importantly the neutral point (thalamus), where both opposites are united together as one. Furthermore, it would seem likely that we have also identified the meaning behind the legendary ‘Golden Fleece’ sought by the hero Jason and the Argonauts. The Fleece is supposed to be the hide of the Ram – and as we know the Ram is associated with the head under the first Zodiac sign Aries. Here’s another curious paragraph from Lady Flavia Anderson’s book: ‘Mr Lewis Spence tells us that the common apple-tree reached Greece from the North. It was adopted by the Greek sun-god as especially sacred to him, and from the Celtic abal, and apple, the god derived his name Apollo. Avallach and Avalooc are Celtic variants of the same word. [Anderson’s source is The Minor Traditions of British Mythology by Lewis Spence p. 107]. ‘We have already found that because the Greek word melon means both apple and sheep, the apple is probably identical to the Golden Fleece’. [20] Abal is also in the word Cabala or Qaballah and the Welsh word aval, also meaning, ‘apple,’ is associated with the Isle of Avalon being Glastonbury in England. The term ‘Avatar,’ is therefore also connected with these three apples, and Lady Anderson also points out that the ‘sun-temple’ of King Evalach or Avallach which Joseph of Arimathea had travelled to so as to convert the heathen to Christianity was none other than Glastonbury in England.

pomme is apple, yes but what else? The pomerium (or pomoerium), from post + moerium>murum (wall), was the sacred boundary of the city of Rome. In legal terms, Rome existed only within the pomerium; everything beyond it was simply land belonging to Rome.sacred city, a saucerful of secrets

but what does it mean, jarv? "They have found that certain Venus numbers are encoded into the Bible (see The Orion Prophecy review for an explanation of the movements of Venus) and these are a 40-year period, 480 years and 1440 years. Venus "loops" every 584 days, and completes a pentagram of 5 loops every 8 years, but this is 2.4 degrees away from its previous position. After 40 years, or 5 pentagrams, the loop is 12 degrees away from its starting position. After 480 years or 60 pentagrams, it is 144 degrees away from its starting position. After 1440 years, it has moved 432 degrees which is 360 + 72 degrees. Have you noticed the precessional numbers here? 12; 72; 144; 432 & 18 x 1440 =25,920. Exact alignment should come after 5 periods of 1440 years, or 7200 years." www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t40917.htmlOkay iameye... I said I'm not going to try to interpret stuff but obviously the Venus symbolism is important as it ties in to the entire Beatles framework. The beetle is an Egyptian symbol for the sun; Khephri the beetle rolls out the rising sun. "Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun. Good morning! Good morning! Here come the sun king." Venus rises as the brightest object in the sky just before sunrise. Venus is Lucy, the light bringer, the harbinger of the rising sun. Ringo Starr and the apple core and all of that can be seen as symbolic of Venus, the morning star. Look at my Starr! "Here comes the sun!" So then: who/what is Khephri the rising sun? -j who? us! welcome the rolling stones Several species of the dung beetle, most notably the species Scarabaeus sacer (often referred to as the sacred scarab), enjoyed a sacred status among the ancient Egyptians. ḫpr in hieroglyphs The hieroglyphic image of the beetle represents a trilateral phonetic that Egyptologists transliterate as xpr or ḫpr and translate as "to come into being", "to become" or "to transform". The derivative term xprw or ḫpr(w) is variously translated as "form", "transformation", "happening", "mode of being" or "what has come into being", depending on the context. It may have existential, fictional, or ontologic significance.
The scarab was linked to Khepri ("he who has come into being"), the god of the rising sun. The ancients believed that the dung beetle was only male in gender, and reproduced by depositing semen into a dung ball. The supposed self-creation of the beetle resembles that of Khepri, who creates himself out of nothing. Moreover, the dung ball rolled by a dung beetle resembles the sun.
The ancient Egyptians believed that Khepri renewed the sun every day before rolling it above the horizon, then carried it through the other world after sunset, only to renew it, again, the next day. Some New Kingdom royal tombs exhibit a threefold image of the sun god, with the beetle as symbol of the morning sun. The astronomical ceiling in the tomb of Ramses VI portrays the nightly "death" and "rebirth" of the sun as being swallowed by Nut, goddess of the sky, and re-emerging from her womb as Khepri.A scarab, depicted on the walls of Tomb KV6 in the Valley of the Kings The image of the scarab, conveying ideas of transformation, renewal, and resurrection, is ubiquitous in ancient Egyptian religious and funerary art.
I'm not saying this is new news but.... I had a silly little dream a few days ago that featured the letter "A" , call it a hunch something is there origin of the star symbol dates further back with a different meaning: www.theupia.com/id30.html"The earliest known use of the pentagram dates back to around the Uruk period around 3500BC at Ur of the Chaldees in Ancient Mesopotamia where it was found on potsherds together with other signs of the period associated with the earliest known developments of written language. In later periods of Mesopotamian art, the pentagram was used in royal inscriptions and was symbolic of imperial power extending out to the four corners of the world. Amongst the Hebrews, the symbol was ascribed to Truth and to the five books of the Pentateuch. It is sometimes, incorrectly, called the Seal of Solomon (see Hexagram) though its usage was in parallel with the hexagram. In Ancient Greece, it was called the Pentalpha, being geometrically composed of five A's. Unlike earlier civilizations, the Greeks did not generally attribute other symbolic meanings to the letters of their alphabet, but certain symbols became connected with Greek letter shapes or positions (eg Gammadion, Alpha-Omega). The geometry of the pentagram and its metaphysical associations were explored by the Pythagoreans (after Pythagoras 586-506BC) who considered it an emblem of perfection. Together with other discovered knowledge of geometric figures and proportion, it passed down into post-Hellenic art where the golden proportion may be seen in the designs of some temples. Same place as the star on his shirt at Superbowl? "In sacred geometry, where all forms (and therefore numbers) are generated through the cosmic birth-portal of the vesica piscis, the pentagon/pentagram is the third such form to emerge after the triangle and square, and is the first in which the Golden Proportion has to be ‘invoked’ in order to draw it " www.geomancygroup.org/sacred_geo.htmlGolden slumbers fill your eyes Smiles awake you when you rise

how to say this delicately....Where Fingo's head is....ya know, like where the star is in the diagram A Starr is born! This is not to say that Fingo is "a dick head", as might be initially thought, rather: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vesica_piscis"More recently, numerous new age authors have interpreted it (Vesica Piscis) as a yonic symbol and claimed that this, a reference to the female genitals, is a traditional interpretation." But who is traditionally shown in "the egg"? answer: here

P(D)enny La(i)ne, that is eggxactly what that cover attempts to show! No yoke! The all but naked fellow on his shoulders is supposed to represent the body of the crucified Christ, but alive. (And who was it that said, "The way things are going, they're going to crucify me!"?) Ringo bears the weight of being the Paul Bearer ("Boy, you're going to carry that weight a long time") The body being born by Ringo represents both the body of the crucified, but living, Redeemer, as well as the "body" of unevolved (but evolving) humanity, fools though they may be.

Ringo bears the weight of being the Paul Bearer ("Boy, you're going to carry that weight a long time") Because Paul plays the role of the fool (the spiritually unevolved "every man") who needs to enter into the kingdom through the gate (the Vesica Pisces) Shown here as the "Chalice Well Cover(ed)" gate (get it?)(And also shown in the movie HELP! and Grandfather Aleister's #31 video) Or, in the popular venacular, they must "enter through the narrow gate", or simply "be born again" into the kingdom of heaven. "What is shown" as Apollo would have said, is that one must come through "the Redeemer" (who sits on Ringo's shoulders). Oh, but wait! That must mean that "the Redeemer" is a woman! (gasps in mock horror)But Fingo is standing guard at the gate. To get back to "the garden", one has to go through him. Ringo is both the gatekeeper and the one that bears the weight of spiritually evolving humanity.

Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bl - Oh wait. The Redeemer is a female: "Paul is Bloody" (Paul is Mary) "The way things are going, they're going to crucify me" (John is JC) "I told you 'bout the walrus and me How we're about as close as can be" (Mary & JC) William & Mary en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_and_Mary"The phrase William and Mary usually refers to the joint sovereignty over the Kingdom of England, as well as the Kingdom of Scotland, of King William III and his wife Queen Mary II, a daughter of James II. Their joint reign began in February, 1689, when they were called to the throne by Parliament, replacing James II, who was "deemed to have fled" the country in the Glorious Revolution of 1688." But puzzled posted the real origins of that yesterday. It pertains to worm holes. Space worm holes. Ringo Starr is the Orion Star, Beatle(apple)juice! The "air shafts" in the Great Pyramid point toward Orion. They were the corridor through which initiates of spirituality, who would lie in "the tomb" (casket) in the King's Chamber, would astral project (go out of body) on their way into the higher realms, energized by the apparatus of the pyramid. Think of it as space travel without the need for a spaceship or physical body. The entrance into this third dimensional universe (our house) is "through Orion". It is the gate. It is the gateway through which one enters and leaves this reality. Access to the higher realms is through this gate. This stargate. The Ringo Star, Beatlejuice, stands guard at this entrance. Remember that according to Etemananki www.goroadachi.com/etemenanki/mayan-palingenesis.htmPaul McCartney is associated with Polaris, the North Star. (Everybody is a star!)
