I scanned this image from my newspaper, so it's not the best quality. Anyway, I found the characture of Faul much more intriguing than the story. Obviously, the artist was drawing what she or he was seeing (most likely working from a photo), and without any comprehension about what JPM should look like. The artist isn't aware Paul McCartney's eyes are supposed to be brown, not green. Uneven eyes? Well, JPM's left eyelid was a little sleepier than the right, but the eyes were even, not asymmetrical! A sharp triangular crease on the left eyelid? Or that JPM's earlobes are not unattached! Or that JPM's nostrils are supposed to be wider! Why are the lips so thin--what happened to those pillowlike puckers? Or that somehow that thin nose stops oddly short--as one plastic surgeon once noted, "the lobes are too low (in relation to the nose)"? And those ears--aren't they supposed to be rounded and sticking out like Dumbo? The head appears close in proportion to what JPM's should be, but I don't know--it still seems a little long... Anyway, here's the story: Many Years from Now is this Month--Chicago Tribune

Those are very accurate observation, Jai. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. In the second photo, Paul's face looks swollen ! Both photos were taken during the filming of Help !!!

Even though it's a caricature, I don't think they captured Bill that well. Even squinting, I don't see him. And besides, his head isn't that big.
