From time to time I like to remind people of the animal rescue site. You click on the big purple button and that pays for a half a bowl of food for an animal at a shelter at no cost to you. You can then click on the tabs at the top and save the rain forest, support child literacy, etc. in the same way. I've been doing it for years.

That smiley dog yours PL? Thanks for reminding me of the link LB, I'll try to visit every day. In 1997: Yeah he's still with me 13 years later, and in the kind of good health (for his age) that amazes the vet. What I don't tell her is that I have ignored pretty much all of the advice they gave over the years, esp. the dietary stuff.. You see, they advise against giving "scraps" or really any kind of food intended for human consumption, that the only "good" food is from the pet food companies. Well, that is until the tainted dog food business.. Then my vet (reluctantly) said I should cook up something until the issues with the canned food were "settled". Yeah well screw that, he's been getting human food ever since, a mixture of either beef/chicken, rice and some veggies. Some dry kibble too, not implicated, and that always agreed with him, so..

No, JoJo, the smiley dog isn't mine. This one is, though. We feed her Evangers, which is all she'll eat.

They've added some new tabs at the top, so be sure to scroll all the way to the right to include "The Rain Forest" and "Literacy"options. -------------- in storage: www.youtube.com/watch?v=79llvyjAqzE
