Hi, I've just discovered this fascinating PID/PIA theme in the last couple of months so I don't have much to offer except I remember going off the fab four in 1967, when I was 14. Just lost interest. I didn't even listen to the Sgt Pepper album until a gf played it to me in 1971. Funny that as I'm a musician, classical and pop and my interest has always been the music first and the people second. So my question for today is, who wrote the music for Fool on the Hill? Musicologists believe it's one of PM's career best, up there with the 65-66 ballads.

Can you say a bit more about what makes you think that? For me the melodic and harmonic sophistication is beyond the other Beatles' scope, & unlike anything in solo McCartney.

Don't really think Faul wrote a damn thing until he went solo and then he was pure crap. Some of which I enjoyed (on edit)
