This is the thread where we discuss when Paul McCartney could have died, or have gotten replaced, depending on what you believe.
I'm completely convinced, as of now, Paul died on March 9th/10th, 1966.... Why?
Faul always mantains that 'he' got into his moped accident on December 25th, 1966. Fair enough, Faul, UNTIL we read what Paul himself said in 1966.
On June 16th 1966, columnist Alan Smith spoke with Paul McCartney. The interview would be published in the June 24th edition of the New Musical Express,
and here's an interesting little bit from that very interview:
"He started to finger his lip, almost without thinking, and I asked him about the reports that he'd broken a tooth.
"You're right," he admitted candidly. "I did it not long ago when I came off a moped. Now I've had it capped... Look."
I looked but I couldn't see anything. A perfect mend. Only a small scar remains on his lip as a souvenir."
Not too long ago? 6 months, not too long ago?
Things get blurrier when Mike McCartney (Paul's brother) states, in his autobiography, that Paul's moped accident occured in 1966...
So, Mike and Paul circa 1966 seem to indicate the accident took place in the spring of 1966 (spring - because what could "not too long ago" mean?
2, 3 months perhaps? )...
Then there's the death clues all over the April 1966 singles, the Revolver LP, and Yesterday and Today...
- One of the lyrics to "Rain" goes like this: "When the rain comes, the run and hide their heads, they might as well be dead."
Okay, so a head injury probably occured, and the incident occured during rainy weather.
- The lastest Beatles LP that was being worked on during spring 1966 was "Revolver." A reference to a weapon, anyone?
- According to John, the original concept of Yesterday and Today was to "behead Paul."
If that doesn't scream out "Paul is Dead!" I don't know what does.
And the Sgt. Pepper's drum... I read it as:
IONEI X HE^DIE
1+1+1= 3
3rd Month = March.
X = Roman numeral for 10.
He die is self explanatory.
Mike maintains "something" occured early on in 1966, and it also flows well into the timeframe when the Beatles P.I.D. clues started emerging.
Plus, the day previous, March 9th, 1966 was a Wednesday, and it fits the "She's Leaving Home" clue that went "Wednesday morning at 5 o' clock."
Maybe Paul went missing on that Wednesday, and the other found out about his demise the next Thursday.
I figure something happened on that Wednesday that involved a car accident, a head injury, a fight, the colours yellow and green, the sea, 5 o' clock, and a revolver.
