Would anyone know where I could get my hands on some of the old Beatles Cartoon episodes for a reasonable price? I used to watch them religiously as a kid in the 60's. Last week I downloaded one of them, "And Your Bird Can Sing" from a sight JoJo invited me to...it was very nostalgic and left me wanting more! Now that I seem to have a renewed interest in all things Beatles, it seems only appropriate to add as many of their cartoon episodes as I can to my ever-growing collection of memorabilia.

Ya, that was a fun little search. I'm a true audiophile, & most of my favorite stuff is a bit weird & "underground", so most of it was difficult to find in the first place; never mind trying to find it on cd now, 20-30 yrs after the fact. Thank God for Ebay! So anyway, I've gotten pretty good at searching out odd things like that. Although I was a bit surprised to find it on dvd. Cool....

HAHA LJ I know what you mean. Since September I have spent MORE on Beatles things than I did the entire time they were together in the 60's! I'm a sucker for anything Beatles, and one of the things my renewed interest in the PID discussion has done is caused me to "resupply" and "rebuild" my collection. I have discovered that some of my oldest and best stuff has been ruined in storage over the years , some of it was boxed up about 15 years ago for one of my many overseas moves and never came out of the box until recently. Somewhere along the line water got into one of the boxes...I wanted to cry

Another thing you can do is keep an eye on ebay. You can also set it to notify you whenever yer deal shows up for auction. I see there's a complete set on there for $80-90. I'm bidding on a 2-dvd set that's at $17 right now, & one day to go. Surely y'all wouldn't want to go & outbid me on my Beatles cartoons, would ya?
Ebay looks like you may be able to get this for less if yer patient. I also see there's a VHS for cheap right now.

Just got the Ed Sullivan shows dvd & the Unauthorized DVD box, now I gotta get the Anthology dvd box, etc etc. As far as replacing some old cd's for less, check out Half.com. It's owned by ebay, but there's no bidding involved. If it's an older cd & it's not something that rare or anything, you can usually pay $1 to $6-7 per cd + 2.50 S&H. I've gotten several cd's where the total cost was $6 or less. It's way too easy & cheap there for an audiophile like myself. With a current account set up, it takes 3 clicks & it's a done deal & the cd's on it's way. WAY too cheap & too easy... all that cheapness adds up.

Alright! I ended up getting 2 DVD's worth of Beatle cartoons for only $17.....well $22 total. That oughtta do me I think.
Thanks for bringin' this up... I hadn't thought about searching those out yet. I wonder if my grand daughter will like these enough for me to slide these in between the Scooby Doo dvd's? Now she's gonna be confused coz we also like to watch The Power Puff Girls Meet The Beat-Alls dvd. (highly recommended/funny as hell/every Beatle reference imaginable) When we watch that, she's always asking, So are they The Beatles? Well sorta, they're The Beat-Alls. Now I'm gonna have to explain that these new beatles are the real cartoon Beatles & the Power Puff villians are imposter Beatles.....................

ooooohhh we need a thread about the beat-alls too funny!!!! and the yoko character made me cry with laughter!! i loved it!! whenever i have some time, i need to watch it again and get some screen captures, because the real beatles cartoon appeared for just few seconds (one from the tv series and other from yellow submarine). i'm with eyesbleed, i highly recomend it too. and if you haven't seen the celebrity deathmatch "hard day's fight" i highly recomend it too!!
