I don't remember Tom Cruise playing George. He does look like Tom Cruise, you can see John in the background.

How on Earth did they get away with Rishikesh? Why isn't there loads of literature or newspaper articles from the time saying they look nothing like The Beatles?

The piano playing Paul with the sad eyes who is missing his index finger was there. But so was this "John" (who also appears to have an iffy left hand). I don't know why they felt the need to bring doubles to a fucking retreat. My questions, at this point, are: OK, what were they really doing there for all of those months? Why did they need to be so far away during that time and for so long? How many lookalikes arrived in India and how many left and where did they arrive from and to where did they depart? For that matter, is there any evidence that any of the Rishikesh photos were actually taken in India and not, say, California?

Actually The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Donovan and others were visiting the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Indian.

And isn't it just so much coincidence that it all ties in so closely with Brian's "death"?

Yeah. I know I touched on this in some other thread a while back: Hearts Club -- two suits -- …We know Brian had gambling problems. There's speculation one of the Pauls did, too. The Krays and their goons fucked a lot of people up. Might they have decided they (or whomever they were working for) didn't just want the skimming off the top Brian was giving them in those paper sacks and decided to cut him out as middle man entirely -- and reformed the band with a wink and a nod to how they won it? Maybe Brian even bet managerial control of The Beatles-?
I've got a buddy who is a gambling addict. I've watched him throw away the last two hundred bucks in his account while trying to make rent money. He wound up having to Collect for his bookie for nearly a decade. And even after he managed to pay the guy off, he's still at it.
I might hide out in a disease infested hell hole half way across the world and surrounded by lookalikes, if the mob was after me.
I still think Band On The Run is a clue that needs to be dismantled.
Sorry, this is kind of all over the place. I meant this thread to be more for posting Rarely seen and Peculiar Beatle stand-ins.

Makes me wonder if the trip to India was set up by The Beatles handlers in order to keep them away from the scene of the crime?
Watch this video of The Beatles beibg told about Brian's passing.
Do they seem upset or surprised at all?
John and George appear to have no emotion to me at all.
The more I watch it...the more it appears to be a planned photo op.

Or what if they were sent away as an alibi? The tone is completely off and, frankly, they seem entranced as in brain washed. Also, weird comment about being glad to know he's okay because being dead means he's okay. I get that some people actually believe this stuff, but the complete lack of affect is unsettling and I don't think explained by faith. Also check out the left ear on that 'Lennon'.

The above video is not even HALF as weird as Pauls reaction to "Johns" death! "Its a drag isn't it?" If that does not show "Paul" is a fake nothing will! www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0EXODSLbsI

Agreed...they do react in the same emotionless way Faul did when John died with that deadpan "it's a drag" comment.

Brian died while The Beatles were in Wales, not India. Same suspicions could apply though.
