The Wrecking Crewwww.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZgBexrZvM0YouTube Movies May 10, 2019 "Music lovers will be astonished at the influence The Wrecking Crew wielded over rock and pop music in the 1960s and early 1970s. These unsung instrumentalists were the de-facto backing band on hit records by The Beach Boys, Phil Spector, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, Sonny & Cher, Elvis, The Monkees and many more. These dedicated musicians brought the flair and musicianship that made the American “West Coast Sound” a dominant cultural force around the world. "

" I think this is a really important documentary for everybody to watch! It is absolutely mind blowing how many famous songs The Wrecking Crew played on! Brian Wilson straight up admits that the Beach Boys didn’t play on their first album… At all... Mickey Dolan talks about how he always thought of his role in The Monkees as an acting gig, that he was never a “real musician”. Why in the world would The Beatles be any different than these other guys…? and then there’s this… youtu.be/-ZgBexrZvM0?t=2640(I hope that is going right to the timestamp - 44:00...sorry if it isn’t!) ”What’s this tune? Beatles. Cockroaches. I had no idea. I didn’t know them kind of names then.” - Tommy Tedesco That is the only time The Beatles are mentioned during the whole documentary. And it is a very quick, offhanded mention. So, this isn’t exclusively PID/PWR evidence, but it’s evidence of somethin’!

The Flunkies thank you, though
