Mick Jagger? All you women, such low down gamblers...šš Yep, there's a fever in this Funk House now.... All this low down bitchin got my poor feet a itchin.... Tumblin' Dice is by a different group than the Muddy Waters gig. I bet you lot love "Muddy Waters," dont'cha? All I could think about watching the Muddy Waters gig was all that cigarette smoke! Yuck! They probably all died of lung cancer and had to be replaced!

"A virtual Zoom fest with Angie and Ruth McCartney". Looks like tomorrow. Now, that could be good...given some of Ruth's allegations. But then, the questions will likely all be softballs. Those in the know could pick up on an inconsistency or two in what she has to say now, and what she has stated previously regarding any of her experiences.

This one also goes along with the god head posts. Here were see in this thumbnail the Young Lion (the Father, also lion symbology on heraldry). There is also the Holy Spirit (The Dyonysus of Rock, who leaves us with the spirit of wine and song, or an alternate unholy spirit "The Lizard King") and, finally, the Son (Mr. Mojo Risin' - repeated during the last album- of course the Son arose). People have done some interesting work here in the past linking the staffing of rock bands to the Zodiac. Either Linus or VooDuGuru (I think). Those threads I found interesting and worth another look recently.

Led Zeppelin - Best Concert Everyoutu.be/_jWteSj7HmIWhat Is and What Should Be Premiered Aug 11, 2022 "This video is the result of 300+ hours of work over the course of the past 7 months. I have had the idea of making one big Zep concert with all the best versions of most of their songs for a long time, but I finally got to making it this year. Iāve had to battle through copyright hell to get this published, which is why the original videos for a couple of the songs couldnāt be included. But in the end, I was able to use all the audio that I planned on using originally. The video itself has small glitches or blinks from time to time, but that was bound to happen when trying to export over 5 hours of video footage. I hope you Zep fans out there enjoy this project, as this was made strictly for you guys. I must give a special thanks to Led Zeppelin Boots for all the bootleg audio and to ledzepfilm for the 8mm footage used throughout the video. 0:00 - Intro Intro 1:16 - The Song Remains the Same (June 21, 1977) 6:31 - The Rover/Sick Again (June 23, 1977) 13:30 - Nobody's Fault But Mine (June 21, 1977) 21:26 - Over the Hills and Far Away (June 21, 1977) 28:58 - In My Time of Dying (May 25, 1975 w/ bits of June 25, 1977) 41:40 - Since I've Been Loving You (August 31, 1970) 50:07 - No Quarter (June 21, 1977) 1:19:26 - The Rain Song (October 2, 1972) 1:27:43 - Ten Years Gone (June 23, 1977) 1:38:37 - The Battle of Evermore (June 21, 1977) 1:45:24 - Going to California (September 14, 1971) 1:52:15 - Tangerine (June 25, 1972 and May 24, 1975) 1:56:01 - Gallows Pole (May 3, 1971) 2:02:04 - Black Country Woman/Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp (June 21, 1977/June 25, 1972) 2:08:50 - That's the Way (September 14, 1971) 2:15:35 - White Summer/Black Mountain Side (April 8, 1970) 2:27:33 - Kashmir (August 4, 1979) 2:37:36 - In the Evening (August 4, 1979) 2:46:53 - Trampled Under Foot (June 23, 1977) 2:54:57 - Four Sticks (May 3, 1971) 3:01:34 - It'll Be Me (June 26, 1977) 3:04:48 - How Many More Times (January 9, 1970) 3:26:08 - Dazed and Confused (January 9, 1970 and May 24, 1975) 3:43:20 - Achilles Last Stand (June 21, 1977) 3:53:43 - Stairway to Heaven (September 23, 1971) 4:03:05 - Immigrant Song (September 6, 1970) 4:06:08 - Black Dog (September 23, 1971 w/ versus from March 5, 1971) 4:11:40 - Heartbreaker (September 29, 1971) 4:20:31 - C'mon Everybody/Somethin' Else (January 9, 1970) 4:28:29 - Whole Lotta Love (September 14, 1971 and May 25, 1975) 4:35:35 - Rock and Roll (August 4, 1979) 4:39:11 - Celebration Day (September 4, 1971) 4:45:30 - Communication Breakdown (September 4, 1970) 4:55:50 - Thank You (September 1, 1971) 5:03:36 - Outro.... Greenwich Village: Music That Defined A Generation | Full Documentary Movie | Susan Sarandon ---------- Quicksilver Messenger Service - Full Concert - 12/28/75 - Winterland (OFFICIAL)www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYBnGmXgB1E ------ kinolorber Sep 9, 2022 "Featuring poignant interviews with Pete Seeger, Kris Kristofferson, Don McLean, Peter Yarrow, Arlo Guthrie, Lucy and Carly Simon, Tom Chapin and Judy Collins, among dozens of other music luminaries, GREENWICH VILLAGE: MUSIC THAT DEFINED A GENERATION combines talking heads with rare archival footage and new live performances to tell a story about a community that created a generation-defining music. Greenwich Village was the birthplace of the singer/songwriter and songs of love and relationships. Between 1961-1973, many musicians in The Village banded together to sing about the radical social upheaval of the time. As these new singers emerged, Greenwich blossomed as a place that promoted a better future. Their music challenged the status quo by singing about taboo subjects - fighting for civil liberties, protesting the Vietnam War, and holding governments accountable for their actions. Their views, which were controversial at the time, weren't always greeted with open arms. On Sunday April 9, 1961, over 500 young musicians gathered in Greenwich Village's Washington Square to sing folk songs to promote peace and harmony. This act of passive protest resulted in riot squads attacking singers and civilians alike with billy clubs, leading to several arrests. The incident became known around the world as the Washington Square Folk Riot and was cited as the first 'freedom of speech' revolt. It also made Greenwich Village a beacon of hope for an entire generation. And this is just one of the important stories which make up the vibrant history of The Village music scene. GREENWICH VILLAGE: MUSIC THAT DEFINED A GENERATION is the amazing untold story about the very people whose music helped change the world. "

It used to be the young kids would always come to the late show to get home in time for curfew and the old folks would stay for the late show. Now all the old folks come to the early show and the young kids stay late..." The year was 1988, and for the San Francisco music scene, it seemed everything that goes around, comes around again. The legendary Fillmore Auditorium was back in business, and playing on stage was the famed acoustic duo of Kaukonen and bassist Jack Casady, better known as acoustic Hot Tuna. The duo, which formed in 1970 as a side project featuring two of the six members of the Jefferson Airplane, eventually added Airplane drummer Johnny Barbata and violinist Papa John Creach to become Electric Hot Tuna. But on this night, it was back to the original two-man, acoustic lineup for an evening of old time blues and country-blues standards. This show, part of a multiple night stand at the Fillmore recorded by promoter Bill Graham for his archives, includes a few surprises. On hand for the show were electric Hot Tuna member Papa John Creach, who contributes his tasteful violin runs on a few songs, including the boogie romp, "John's Other." Also on hand is Jefferson Airplane/Starship founder Paul Kantner, who sits on a few Airplane and KBC Band songs, among them, the 1967 Airplane classic "Martha." And Grace Slick sits in too, contributing vocals on "Good Shepherd" and the set-closing "Volunteers". Surprises aside, this is a solid collection of classic Hot Tuna including Reverend Gary Davis' "Keep Your Lamps Trimmed And Burning," "Candy Man," Bukka White's 1930s prison lament, " Parchman Farm," and the band's own catchy instrumental, "Water Song." Another highlight is Kaukonen's solo acoustic number for the Airplane's Surrealistic Pillow album, "Embryonic Journey." Hot Tuna (both acoustic and electric) remain a touring act, and Paul Kantner is overseeing yet another incarnation of Jefferson Starship. Sadly, Papa John Creach died in 1994, at the age of 76.

Thanks for this Letter B. This guy puts his finger on the reasons I like Morrison and Davies so much. The heavy distortion of sound the Kinks had, with a raw kind of unpolished edge. And the interplay between various members of the Doors in their sound. I hadn't known that Stewart, another favorite of mine, auditioned for the Kinks. I had the vague understanding that Stewart had knocked around for a while in the music business before he finally hit his stride. This week I had a rental car (yep, had to travel back to Connecticut) listening to the 60s satellite radio station in the rental car. A Stewart song from 1966 called "Shake" came on. I'd never heard it. Not a great song, but Stewart's vocals were never better, IMO. Got a story about Stewart. In a show in Atlanta, when Stewart was in his prime, he did Hot Legs or Stay with Me (can't recall which) with a very extended guitar solo. During the guitar work, all these soccer balls came flying at the stage. Looked like they were coming at Stewart from some balcony over the crowd. Stewart batted 'em back out at the audience instantly using his feet, his knees, his head, whatever. People went nuts trying to catch these balls, but, umm, we're southerners. Not our game. Not in those days. People were gettin' smashed in their faces right and left by these balls coming at us at break neck speed. At one point, Stewart bent over and grabbed his knees. I just thought he was out of breath, till I saw his shoulder shaking. He was laughing at us!!!!! And I guess that's why I've avoided his geezer rock performances. I prefer to remember him that way. Full of energy and lot's of fun. And the only singer who could ever cover Sam Cooke, is Stewart. "Havin' a Party", "Bring it to Me", and "For Sentimental Reasons", all great covers by Stewart. That night reminds me of poor goalie Scott Sterling here, who keeps getting battered right in the face on the field by a guy who has a cannon for a leg. That was Stewart in those days. A leg and a head like a cannon. This is just about the funniest video I've ever seen. Poor Scott Sterling eventually has to be set up on a chair in front of the goal, cause he's nearly unconscious.
