Hi guys and gals,
It's been years since I've been active on this forum, but I've been watching some PID-related YouTube channels lately (1. Forensic Files - Paul McCartney died in 1966. And 2. Sage of Quay)*, that got me thinking about a screen capture that I once had - from a Beatles' music video that very briefly shows what resembles a severed head, reflected in the window of an old Police or Coroners Van.
Can anyone here please post this picture - or failing that, cite the name of the video in which it appears? Thank you, much!
* Regarding these two channels - while they're both quite entertaining, I do disagree with their central arguments! Which are that.. 1. ALL FOUR of the Beatles were replaced !! And 2. The Beatles were an entirely psy-labs product - with little or no talent of their own!
To counter both viewpoints - you need only look at John Lennon's solo career! To demonstrate that he's clearly the same brilliant and acerbic singer /songwriter from decades earlier!!

Also, there is a thread, I think in the Members only section titled "Mystery Pics from a Little While Back" that has the photo.

To demonstrate that he's clearly the same brilliant and acerbic singer /songwriter from decades earlier!! The Beatles being killed and replaced with four lookalikes is not the crime of the century. The crime of the century is people saying they were replaced with better musicians/songwriters. They were definitely not replaced by better artists - they were not even replaced by artists at all. You might say that's my opinion, but my opinion is based on quantitative information as well as qualitative information. It's also based on a reassessment of all narratives about The Beatles that have been put forward by people who did and/or didn't know that The Beatles were replaced with imposters. To even debate this topic, it's important to establish when The Beatles were replaced so we can discuss who did which songs and who performed which songs. For argument's sake I am going to go with my own narrative that they were replaced at the end of the world tour in 1964 and their last concerts were in Australia. This coincided with the release of A Hard Day's Night's movie and album. We also must take into account when the decision was made to replace The Beatles with imposters. This can't be done overnight and there must be a period where the people who were in control of The Beatles had influence on their output. The replacement of Sean Connery at roughly the same time as The Beatles and the coincidence of his first Bond movie being released at the same time as The Beatles first single Love Me Do, tells us this was a long term operation enacted by the same people - as are all imposter replacements. A Hard Day's Night was released in the UK while The Beatles were still on that world tour. We do know that they released and performed some of the songs from that work live though. The last single they released and performed live in the UK before that tour was the double A side Can't Buy Me Love/You Can't Do That. In April of 1964 the US charts looked like this: 1. “Can’t Buy Me Love” 2. “Twist and Shout” 3. “She Loves You” 4. “I Want to Hold Your Hand” 5. “Please Please Me” This is quantitative information - The Beatles were a phenomenon. They also performed some of these songs at the NME poll winners show in May 1964. The audience reaction to this live performance can also be classed as quantitative information. They were in a state of euphoria, partly because of the hype encouraged by a media that knew replacements were ready to take on their identities, but it was geniune. This genuine affection gradually dissipates after they are switched. Footage of their replacements after the switch is difficult to come by, but their performance at the 1965 NME Poll Winners show did get recorded and so is the audience reaction to it. The dying enthusiasm is clearly audible as they perform, and is more or less gone by the time they finish the set. For me the performance at that show is a debacle, that's my opinion. They only perform live for another year or so after that and when they perform at the 1966 NME poll winners show THE CAMERAS ARE SWITCHED OFF for their performance. I have been comparing Beatles setlists of the last couple of years of their live performances, with the songs they are releasing on albums in that period. They don't line up in the sense that they are not performing the songs they are releasing to the public. They are still playing some mediocre songs from Beatles For Sale like She's A Woman and Baby's in Black and performing Long Tall Sally after Revolver is released. The replacements have neither the ability or the artistic integrity of their predecessors and it is little wonder the people in charge of the Beatles operation pulled the plug on them performing live when they did. I have to question whether they were writing those songs from mid 1964 onwards, and their famed transformation into a studio band is understandable if they weren't. If you are claiming that The Beatles were replaced by something better, then that bird has flown by 1966 already. The Fetals were and continue to be an overhyped band, and the source of their music is dubious to say the least. At the same time, the works of the original Beatles continues to be maligned by a complicit media industrial complex. You are entitled to your opinion whether you like the John Lennon imposter's music, but we can never compare it to what might have been had the real John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr been allowed to live and create music in freedom.
