Any thoughts from anyone? I do wonder if 'Paul Is Dead' wasn't to take the heat off of 'Everyone But Paul Is Dead'. However, that obviously can't be the case, either, when we have unquestionably Hamburg Pauls showing up into the twenty teens.

Paul is not only alive - he's multiplying. There's seven of him and they're all the real one.

Well "There are seven levels", after all, so a minimum of seven Pauls would make sense. Throw in "I am he as you are he" and the possibilities are endless!

Well "There are seven levels", after all, so a minimum of seven Pauls would make sense. Throw in "I am he as you are he" and the possibilities are endless! But Dante says there are nine levels of hell. So we gotta have nine Pauls, each consigned to hell according to the degree of sin. So nine recording/performing Pauls, in total, and right from the earliest Quarrymen days? Or nine Pauls running around now? Either way, gotta be nine, number nine, number nine, number nine....

The Blue Oyster Cult song lyrics haunt me.
There walked a lonely man, Silent, mute, the only man Not knowing how, not knowing why Was he the sole survivor Why should he be alive, Breathing still while others died And the only question Why was he the sole survivor
Sole survivor, cursed with second sight Haunted saviour, cried into the night Sole survivor, cursed with second sight Haunted saviour, cried into the night
Wind blew across the sand He stood alone and he had no plan And with the last rays of the sun He screamed aloud, began to run In his tears he sees his face I am the end of the human race When I'm gone there'll be no trace For I'm the sole survivor
Sole survivor, cursed with second sight Haunted saviour, cried into the night Sole survivor, cursed with second sight Haunted saviour, cried into the night
One night when years had passed The skies shook from a fiery blast And there a starship - safe at last! To come rescue this survivor They beckoned him inside But only man, he would not ride Instead he found a place to hide For he's the sole survivor
Sole survivor, cursed with second sight Haunted saviour, cried into the night Sole survivor, cursed with second sight Haunted saviour, cried into the night
gonna carry that weight, carry that weight a long time....
