This thread was originally about Marianne Faithful, but the YouTube video
on which it centered has been removed, so I'm changing the focus to something else.
There's something about the 1980s group "The Primitives" that sets off my McCartney/PID detector.
I can't quite put my finger on it, and I don't know much about the group.
Any input from their fans would be appreciated. I'm not talking about the "Pepperpot" Primitives,
(though one has to wonder...) but rather the group that featured Tracy Cattell, a lady vocalist.
The song lyrics seem to vaguely resemble some of the PID material. I almost get the feeling that
they could be a Paul fantasy of what it would have been like had he been a female singer.
Though this post isn't polished, here is some data:
Not so much these guys:
as these: ;D
www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dfNlL0mw94
And their homepage is "Crash site. org"
crashsite.org/
Crash site?!
Their lyrics:

Articles about them:

Bill song: "Biker Like an Icon" (related in some way?)

I can't figure out where this Faul song fits in with the cluefest, but, since the Primitives
did a song called "Crash"....

"Goodbye Mr. MacKenzie" toured with them a bit:

("Father McKenzie" was in a church too....)
"In My Dream"

I like this song, and the lyrics are somewhat Faulesque.

sample lyrics:
THRU THE FLOWERS
Feel the sun burning bright
I'm cut loose out of sight
slipping thru shadows
you won't find me
found myself all at sea
and you won't find me - no, no
and you won't find me - no, no
And you won't even know
what it took to let you go
if I could only make you see
then you could follow me
thru the flowers
thru the flowers
Feel the sun burning bright
I'm cut loose out of sight
singing in the daises
you won't find me
found myself lost at sea
and you won't see me - no, no
and you won't see me - no, no

The Primitives even did a Velvet Underground cover, "I'll Be Your Mirror":
