Warning This is intended to be a joke....So I thought I would go with it. There is a Mayberry-Liverpool connection between the Beatles and the actors in the Andy Griffith Show Of course, Don Knotts replaced Brian Epstein But, did you know Otis the town drunk was a Ringo Starr Stand In... at the Mayberry County Fair...Mt. Pilot Beatles' Festival....Charlotte Beatle Look A Like pageant.... George Goober Lindsey suddenly disappeared off Hee Haw to become the replacement for the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi...John Lennon was said to have called him "Fogi"... Jim Nabors sang on the White Album...."Back In The USSR", "Why Don't We Do It In The Road"..and then on Lady Madonna. Electronically enhanced may I add. Howard Sprague was a double for Eric Clapton Floyd the Barber replaced John Lennon's hairdresser Helen Crump replaced Marianne Faithful and also stood in For Petula Clark, Cilla Black and Dusty Springfield for the Greater Mayberry British Invasion Festival. Emmit the Fix it man, was Bill's plastic surgeon and was credited for giving him his fake ears.... Thelma Lou replaced Batti Boyd Aunt Bea replace Queenie Epstein Last but certainly not least, Opie was a stand in for Peter Asher, Jane's brother.... That's the short and long of the Mayberry-Liverpool Connection....

Thanks for the laughs! Gosh, you hit on everybody but Mayor Pike....... www.imdb.com/title/tt0512597/fullcreditsI only barely remember him, I recall sometimes in the earlier seasons that the Mayor's office had occasional disputes and Andy would have to help them work it out.

You know who I forgot?
Ernest T. Bass....he stood in for George Harrison, because we couldn't find anybody to fit the part.
Charlene Darling(The blonde who was Ernest T. Bass' love interest) She was Fylvie
If I left anyone out, like Aunt Bea's rival in pickle making, or Juanita, Barney's unseen love interest, forgive me...This isn't the exhaustive Mayberry-Liverpool Connection. There's a book on E Bay titled..." Mayberry Gone Pepperland...the Beatles-Andy Griffith Connection" written by Eunice B. Cycle...maybe someone with lots of loot can bid on it.
As for me, I'll just take in this ditty.
Doc, I didn't realize you were a space alien...Love that pinkish-red glow....

Was Aunt Bea's culinary nemesis names "Clara?"
It was actually a touching episode. Friendship >< Competitiveness-----always a fun combination.

This is like what I said last year, introducing the Mayberry Fields Forever concept here, but what is a mayberry anywaty? Are they toxic?
Y'all missed Pink Floyd the barber with his pinking (Billy) Shears.
Red-headed Opie is Rosemary's baby. He named his daughter "Dallas" ("Bryce Howard").

Check Opie's scalp...and if you find 666, the director of the Da Vinci Code....is really the Da Opie Code....
