I just viewed "Brokeback Mountain". the movie. I won't give anything away; I guess most everyone knows the basic premise of this movie by now. I will say that I am wrecked for the rest of the morning. Exrtremely well acted, well done, well written, well handled---a relief because it's the kind of thing that could have easily been botched---trite or tasteless. In fact, it was as well made a film as I have seen in 10 years. Ledger and Guylenhaal prove to be first rate acting pros. The screen adaptation of the book is understated but clear, and unfolds seemlessly onscreen without undue histrionics or cinematic "treacle". Perfect editing, lush cinematography, tremendously on point supporting cast.
But I don't have enough Murine or Kleenex to get me thru the night.

Wouldn't be enough money in the world, even if I could sit next to Bill and pick his brain, while watching this. Not my kind of movie.

I'm very interested in seeing it, but I'll probably wait for the DVD. What can I say... I'm lazy.

Only if they have PID clues.... Maybe Bill was the inspiration.... But his screenplay was called "Two in the Saddle" like "Two of Us"
