I always look at the map at the bottom of the main page to see where people are looking in from. So far I haven't seen anyone from Russia or China, but this morning someone had checked in from Borneo; specifically Burnei. Probably the Sultan himself! Let's have this thread be where you can report time, date, and place where you've noted people from a-typical places Czeching in. Like from the North Pole, or Madagascar. Or China, Russia, Iraq, whatever. I see Israel or Egypt. Also Latvia. Wonder who that is? ;D Uruguay and Brazil?! 10:30 PM Eastern Daylight time 9/13/07

Interesting you should mention this as I've noticed the map before and checked it out a few times but it's never had a location that is any where near me - It's always had a UK location but not an accurate place name!
However, I read this thread for the first time today and there I am, a kind of synchronicity?

Athens, TN, United States
I always wondered, why can't Americans think of original city names? I mean, there are five Miamis, two Rigas, seventeen Petersburgs, two of which are Saint.
BTW, Odessa is also the name of an Ukrainian city.

Wapwallopen, PA, United States Wed, 26 Sep 2007 06:58:52 -0500 Luzerne County. Luz is the Spanish equivalent of Lucy, which means light. The word resides in the same tree as "lucid." If you want to see diamonds in the sky, come to Lincoln City, Oregon, host of the 2005 World Sport Kite Championships. Kitelife named Lincoln City one of the best places to fly kites in North America. You can stay along Devil's Lake and the "D" River, the world's shortest (heheheh), which flows 120 feet from Devil's Lake to the Pacific Ocean. If you want to try kiteboarding or windsurfing then come to Hood River, Oregon, on the Columbia River Gorge, host of the 2005 US Windsurfing National Championships. If you want to BE a diamond in the sky and try hang gliding, come to Lakeview Oregon, "Hang Gliding Capital of the West," and host of the 1993 Hang Gliding Championships and the 1998 Paragliding Nationals. Whooooo... There is a lot of wind blowing out here in Oregon. -j
