Within the next day or few days, (I can't be sure) the forum software will upgrade from version 4.0 to 4.5. This won't affect your board experience too much, here is a post about what to expect: support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=v4p5postconversion&action=display&thread=231050A key point: t may take up to a day to upgrade the entire server. During this time your forum will be 100% accessable until your forum is in the conversion process. Most message boards take less than a minute to convert, while some of the largest may take up to 3 hours. For the duration of your forum's conversion, a message will be displayed letting your visitors know that an upgrade is in progress and to check back later.I suspect this forum is large enough to take more than a minute or two. The conversion is coming soon, as I said, I don't know exactly when. Since I got the notice that it's coming soon, I'd assume it will be no more than two days. Fingers crossed that all goes well, last time there was an upgrade, there were a few glitches. It might be a good idea to avail yourself of the option to backup your PM's, just in case.

Maybe they're the same 50 people coming in and out again and again? I mean, I'd love to think we have 425 guests, but.....

It's like this, a unique IP address gets counted only once, to prove it, I cut and pasted the list into an Excel spreadsheet and sorted numerically. There is not a repeat occurrence of the same IP. However, that doesn't mean the unique IP's are unique individuals, services like AOL change IP's with each page load. I subtracted out those ones, and was left with 244. Then, you have to subtract out the staff/members, because you are a "guest" (and counted as such) until you login. That leaves 182 unique guests, perhaps round it down a bit in case someone visits from work in one instance, and then from home in another..
Now I'm just making an educated guess, but I feel 150 is too low, 175 is too high... Eh, let's call it 165. Not bad IMO.

I noticed a slight bug in the upgrade. All the threads I subscribed to now have email notification switched off. I'm pretty sure I didn't do it. I noticed it on other boards as well.
