It's nice that you have gone to all the trouble to set up this fanclub. I'm sure that Sir Paul is tickled by it's existence. However, I could never join it as I do not recognize him as being Paul McCartney.

I' m afraid that by Saturday, February 9 - Sir Paul will become Bill - we don't know who yet or if his name is really Bill but I think it is useless to start a new fan club - you may want to start it for BILL, though !!

I'm with Mommybird....this goes back since my toddler days, but I can't get the vibe that Bill is Paul Mc Cartney.
No wonder I couldn't get into Wings....I just didn't get it.

I wonder which interview the McCartney footage is from... Any idea? And Weird Al is irritating me. He is really bad at what he does (unless what he does is being really bad).

I didn't watch the clip. However, I have to say that I love Weird Al. His Jurassic Park video spoof is hilarious. I have a video of one of his concerts, and I enjoy it everytime that it's on.

But did you get into John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr's solo careers? If you didn't "get" their music, does that mean that they were all replaced as well? I'm sure you're quite right, James Paul would have written the same kind of music you grew up with and never, EVER would have written such monstrosities as "Maybe I'm Amazed", "Backseat of My Car", "Live and Let Die", "Jenny Wren", and "Dance Tonight".

Bill has produced some good music. It just bothers me that he's not producing it using his REAL name.

Wow, I'm not a big fan of solo Faul but I think each of those songs are pretty good. JMO of course.

Wow, I'm not a big fan of solo Faul but I think each of those songs are pretty good. JMO of course. IMO "Maybe I'm Amazed"and "Live and Let Die" are both wonderful songs; I do not know "Backseat" (but will soon) Dance Tonight is cute and serviceable (sometimes writing a serviceable song is the goal) and Jenny Wren is special for it's haunting uniqueness. (melody, harmonies, chord voicings, words, even choice of vocal sound and instrumental setting) But if you had only mentioned "Say, Say, Say", we would have some basis of agreement. That one was a real career ender; how he and MPL ever survived that ectopic miscarriage I'll never know. Normally I am not a mean person about a song but "Say, Say, Say" in one case has driven me to it. Hell for me would be being imprisoned in, say, an airport where the Musak plays that one all day, all night.

I wonder which interview the McCartney footage is from... Any idea? And Weird Al is irritating me. He is really bad at what he does (unless what he does is being really bad). Are you saying that that interview was faked--possibly spliced together from a time when Macca wasn't even there in the room with Weird Al? Oh, no, don't tell me that! Real faked footage? No, no, it can't be so! At least the got the background colors, reds ad such, to look complimentary from shot to shot. I am not convinced that that is the REAL Weird AL--it's Fierd Fal and Faul faking a Faux felevision finter-few. (Say it chewing cashews.)
