Faul and Yoko Ono are supposed to have hated each other for decades, then all of a sudden last year we see photos of an NYC party where she appears to introduce him to a room, beaming and holding him by an upraised arm like a victory trophy (see the party pictures thread started by Penny at NIR). As I've said before, I think the old "Bill"/Phil Faul retired last year and we have a new one.
I don't think the "old" Faul would want to be interviewed together with Yoko Ono.

Ono & FAUL were fighting over spiritual & financial control of the BEATLES empire for a long time... there's more money in it now for them being friendly... it's BEATLES LOVE, baby.
FAUL & Ono only shared the stage for five minutes at the end (w/ 4 others). The widows were interviewed separately and more briefly before the two BEATLES ... haven't watched it all yet, did catch a shameless FAUL spewing bullshit about Hamburg...

The body chemistry between Faul and Ringo was rather lame. You would think that after all these years, they would have more of a spark of the old days....Wait, what am I thinking? That isn't the same Paul...well, there would be no real chemistry between them now would there?
The response when Larry asked Faul where was he when John was murdered...it was a rather lame answer...a pause, as if he had to think about what he was going to say. Not what one would expect when reminiscing over the loss of someone who was once a close partner in music. If he really had feelings for John as a fellow musician he supposedly knew since they were teens.. just not much of an emotional man is he? Some of his answers just seemed rather hollow and bland, with lack of emotions. Almost like one of those "pod people" you used to see on those B sci fi flicks from the 1950's. Where the alien pod came over a person and took over their identity, but has no personality, no emotions...Maybe that's part of being a mind control slave, being a "pod" and showing up for certain events and occasions. He didn't even seem passionate about the music for his new album, he didn't say much about his new work. Rather odd body language, indeed.
I think Larry was taking a magic carpet ride back to the 1960's, it seemed like he was the only really enthusiastic person on the set!
One would think having their musical body of work celebrated in an anniversary program honoring their work would bring out more joy and celebration. Even though their careers and personal lives have had their tragedies and struggles, the music itself could have been more enthusiastic to celebrate.
But then, when Faul had little to do with most of the music represented on the program, and most of those images were of the real JPM and not himself. I guess why would he be excited? Maybe somewhere deep inside that pod he realizes that all the celebration had nothing to do with him... Or maybe he's just so droned that nothing matters much to him...
Just a peculiar observation.
Beatlies mentioned that "the old Bill/Faul retired last year and we have a new one...." Nothing would surprise me...
....but he didn't look like other pics of Faul that were recently floating around...maybe he was retouched, filling in where the old fillers have fallen...
Maybe if someone has some pics from the Larry King program, should post some of them, profiles, etc...it would show if maybe Bill had some more "work" done lately.

Well to be fair to FAUL, the "Where were u when John died?" question is one that he's been asked many times. Larry King is a horrible interviewer who takes pride in not preparing or learning anything about his guests.

Oh please, guys, you're being way too dramatic about it. It's not like he was never really friends with the boys. He and John got along great.
