First of all, I know that this magazine has a March issue already, but it got to Latvia just a week ago, so if somebody in this forum is subscribing or buying this magazine, please, don't correct this.
But anyway, I bought this magazine recently, and I've got to say, that I'm quite impressed. There's nothing much about rap, it's mostly a rock magazine, and you can even read about the oldies (like The Beatles). This magazine is about 140 pages long, so it would be just too much for me to write down something from every single page. So I will write things about The Beatles, which you can read here.
First mention of The Beatles is already in the first pages; you can read about Queen's Greatest Hits topping the UK's best-selling albums list, overtaking Sgt. Pepper. Good for them. Then there is an article about The Beatles going digital - you can get their music on iPods. It's accompanied with a nice picture of them holding their first four British studio albums. I can't even tell is it Paul or Faul - if somebody has the picture in computer or somewhere, please, notify me on tis thread or via PM.
Then you can see the "Love" album in the UK Album chart, and later, about the Beatle stamps. And then - coincidentally, there is a page about the "Rock Myths". This, apparently, is the third issue with them. The topic is "Paul McCartney died in a car crash". There is also a small interview with Russ Gibb, but most importantly, there are no pro or anti PID pictures in it. And also, there is the traditional story mentioned with Paul dying in November 9. We all know that this is not true (it's not a myth), so let's just go on.
There's the 500 greatest lost tracks list, the main reason, why I bought this. There are 20 Beatle songs mentioned. Child of Nature, Hello Little Girl, Besame Mucho, How Do You Do It, Thank You Girl, I'll Get You, This Boy, She's A Woman, Yes It Is, Rain, Baby You're A Rich Man, Blue Jay Way, Hey Bulldog, It's All Too Much, Revolution, Don't Let Me Down, Old Brown Shoe, Teddy Boy, She Came In Through The Bathroom Window (Anthology version) and Free As A Bird.
Then there is an interview with Jeff Lynne, who talks about George Harrison and the Anthology sessions. Then there are some Beatle songs and albums mentioned in some long lists of songs and albums.
If this magazine would be a bit cheaper (it costs 7 Ls, 1 Ls is about the same as 1 British pound, and the average income in Latvia is much smaller than in most western countries, like UK, USA, or Italy), I would probably subscribe to this magazine.
