Is it any of our D*** business?
But of course! ;D
They say all truth eventually comes out... Imagine one day we find out that Paul is Faul for real...
Pandemonium! That news would be bigger than the Beatles themselves!
Lies and secrets.... secrets and lies.
A Pandora's box the likes of which the world has never seen...
Faul (and Ringo, and whoever else is left) would be forced into seclusion.....
Hmmmmmmm... interesting to ponder the repercussions that would ensue...
What do you see happening if this were revealed?

I have often thought of this myself.
It would be massive, yes! More so than the Beatles!
Therefore I doubt VERY much it will ever come out.. well atleast while both Faul and Ringo are still alive.
Firstly imagine the crap that Faul would have to deal with.. I would feel so sorry for him. I have no gripe with Faul, he kept James Paul's memory alive.. though i don't think it really was necessary to extend it beyond the Beatles.. but hey!
And Ringo.. my dear Ringo.. i would never wish that on him!
At the same time.. i really don't think the PIAer's would except the truth unless it came from Faul or Ringo!

I feel defensive on their behalf, actually. If seen properly, it could all be okay. The world can be brutally unforgiving. If people could only understand. But that is a lot to hope for in this sometimes b*tchy world in which we live in. The idealized world in song, circa 1950's: It's a wonderful world, I'm just walking on air Talk of heaven on earth, I've got more than my share Haven't got a care, happy all day thru It's a wonderful world, loving wonderful you. A more contemporary take on it, by the band "Double You"?!?!?!?: Don't be afraid now afraid now (4x) You are the victim of the human race I'll pray for your sorrow, man without a face beg, steal and borrow, do just whant you can there's hope for tomorrow, believe in today Look a minute at your home (3x) tonight It's a wonderful world to be living in (4x) Give him a future we know what to do heaven is the answer, were knocking at it's door Look a minute at your home (3x) tonight It's a wonderful world to be living in (4x) Don't be afraid now, time will tell the thruth Look a minute at your home (3x) tonight It's a wonderful world to be living in (9x) The whole world is crazy. But some people really would like to give an island of grace to someone else. Or find one for one's self.

...What do you see happening if this were revealed? you know, I don't think it will ever be accepted by the masses. If Faul himself were to say, on his deathbed, "My real name is William Whozit and I did replace Paul McCartney", it would be attributed to illness, medication, or 'one last practical joke'.

OK can I wax corny for a moment? I kinda like "Whozit" as an operating last name, at least for now. It's as good as any other, since we have like, totally NO idea what it is (Shepherd, Sheppard, Shepard are OK guesses, but really. Lay this one on a PID curious: "We think his name is "Shepherd" cause he raises sheep on a farm in Scotland." Listen to the crickets.......) So, Bill Whozit is charming, and delightfully derivative of the sound of a name from Dr. Seuss----the Grinch, Thneeds, Marvin K. Mooney, the Lorax, the Ubleck!!!!Gerald McBoing-Boing!!!! He had a way of making a fable fun! And educational! Ted Geisel would be proud of us.........maybe......... www.seussville.com/seussentennial/intro.html

Bill Whozit & The Sneetches
Great band name! Now if I only knew some musicians who could play "sneetch" music!

If Faul himself were to say, on his deathbed, "My real name is William Whozit and I did replace Paul McCartney", it would be attributed to illness, medication, or 'one last practical joke'. Agreed. Beatle forums around the world would be forced to go into a state of complete denial.

if Paul was replaced, then part of me hopes the truth never does come to light. It would destroy the image of The Beatles forever, and will always be the thing attributed to them.
Sometimes the illusion is better than the truth. As we learned from The Matrix, just eat the damn steak and enjoy it.

I do believe we have the right to know (if it's true,) and I hope it comes out in my lifetime. I hope he really is alive though, so I don't have to hold my breath.
