The latest issue of Beatlefan (dated Sept.-Oct., they're running a bit behind) has a short item about "Paul Is Dead" websites. This forum was mentioned and the URL given. No other forums were mentioned. (Unless you count the www archive of the pathetic FAQ list that's been kicking around USENET for several years now.)
Later in the issue is a 3-page story by a close associate of the late Graham Chapman (of Python). He purports to trace the "Paul is dead" story to an incident in Jan 67 when a Morrcan playboy borrowed (the late) Paul's Aston-Martin to drive (the doppelganger faux) Paul's drugs (heroin, cocaine, cannabis, LSD) to a party.

It's not too comon a publication -- I work over a great newsstand. I browsed a copy of the Saturday Daily Mail the other day that had a page split between pics of FAUL taking his baby for a walk and an item on George Martin's heraldry...
I bet your mall has a copy of the new "Acoustic Guitar" mag with a big FAUL interview.
Anyway, I guess I'll be nice and scan this thing for you. Just hang on a few minutes and I'll edit it in to the lead post.

This is what I found about that story: Beatles Monthly Book, february 1967
