I've noticed even before my interest in PID that in some photos his face looks like a long oval and in others round (both before and after his "death".) And eye distance sometimes does seem to vary (I'll go to hell for saying that.) I think he's probably alive so......what's going on? Could it be the lens? I've heard some lenses, such as wide angle squish in people's faces, (thus changing eye distance,) maybe being vain he requested that the photographer do that as he has a round face. Or the photographer thought of it himself, either that or Paul may have lots of explaining to do. Any comments, especially from photographers?

the thing that disturbs me, Jerri, is that Paul's appearance is the only one that changes in group photos of that time period (66-68).
It seems to me that if the issue was related to photography, all of the Fabs would look slightly wonky in the same photos.

Actually, I think the photography has exagerrated facial length at times. I tend to see (in my PID mode) that James Paul had a short, apple face, and that Bill had originally, a had a head of average proportion-not long or wide or extreme in ant way, just typical regular. I think the seeming extra length is a product of many variables afterward.

Sometimes Ringo's nose looks bigger at times. But then I think it must be Ringo because Ringo's nose is big.

Gee, I dunno... do you think it has anything to do with the fact that Paul was replaced?

Well, in answer to the query posed, it comes to mind that some blame the camera(s), and the photography. The change to color. New lenses and film stock. Some say overdone photo retouching. Still other suggest he engaged in cosmetic surgery, or that at 24, long dormant genes suddenly activated and he grew into a new look. Still others have said he was (*shudder*) replaced by a convincing double. Lately, I 've even seen the idea tossed to and fro that he had, in fact, two doubles. But I think we can go further with this. Why stop before we reach the crest of the hill? We've climbed the mountain, let's brave the cliff. It is apparent, from the multiplicity of photographic "versions", that Paul was allowed, by the record company and the Apple people, a large number of fill-ins, a group, a litany, an entourage, if you will, of "Pauls". A team. No, not, the "A-Team"--[although excessive gold necklaces and a buzz-cut mohawk could do wonders from my tortured narrative]. No, he had plenty of friendly help, and in fact it was all inspired by a certain work of consummate greatness by none other than Will------I Am, Shakespeare. About 400 years ago. And of which play doeth I speak? Say it with me, ladies and gentleman: Faul's Staff. {Sound of groaning across the universe....} Don't blame me. Blame Henry the Second. (Or his daddy?....) And, ironically, that can't really be argued about. No matter what you may believe.........
