He could have worn green contacts, he can be wearing brown contacts here. Doesn't make much of a difference.

i doubt it was contact lenses since they were only used for a replacement of glasses until recently when they became a way to change your eye colour and their is no evidence that paul ever wore glasses.
i do however wonder if this photograph has been colourized.

No, I mean if Faul's wearing contacs here, so you don't see his hazel eyes.

do you mean today? if so i think its possible but doubtful since he would still have had to do it from pauls death onwards to keep it consistant.

If Faul does exist, than consistantly having to wear contacts would be the least of his troubles.

but your assuming that coloured contacts were available as early as 1966

Well, I never took much stock in the eye color issue. I have hazel/green eyes. When I'm in a certain light, they will look more green, and sometimes they'll look brown. To tell you the truth, I don't know what damn color my eyes actually are.
Anyway, I actually see very dark green eyes in that picture.

Well, if the government is involved, than they can do anything to him. So yes.

1980 - A tinted daily wear soft lens becomes available for commercial distribution. This is one of the first soft colored contact lenses on the market.
and i have very green eyes and they don't look anything like that in pictures i thought they looked way too brown but it just goes to show we all see different things looking at the same picture

all i was trying to say is that in that photograph it looks like a lot of colour has been added. Like wings said with hazel eyes their is so much green in them the eyes can look different at different times. the eye issue really isn't very reliable

Whoever did this great plastic surgery job on Faul probably had the power and technology to have colored contacts at their disposal. I see green in just about every picture of Faul's eyes. Some pics they look more brown, some they look more green but the green tint is almost always there.

Right. Contacts, doctoring and/or much more can make someone's eye color appear to change.

the eye issue really isn't very reliable That's a good point anyway. The way to tell Paul and Faul apart is the SHAPE of the face. Paul's was round and Faul's is clearly oval/long.

Maybe certain pics of him were doctored because he prefered his eyes a different color.

Paul's daughter Mary has dark eyes. I always thought even if Paul were "Faul," that is thier natural color, probably deep hazel.
