I'd like to download the footage. Anyone? It does pain me to say because I'm so PWR but that nose in the second still definitely looks like a JPM nose.

Yes, Beatles Monthly put a mustache on an earlier Paul pic, there's no argument on this one.
Hey GN, remember.. ...many clues have actually been inserted by him!
An understatement for sure..

that, or someone added the moustache on the scan of the cover... What's the proof the moustache is on the "real" cover? It looks so fake.

Ah, thanks, Letter B. I hadn't ever heard of that! (Some Beatles fan I am...) I just looked it up instead of bothering you all for information and stumbled across this interview: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "RockingVicar: Just one last question - "Carnival Of Light," does it actually exist? Paul McCartney: It does exist, yeah. We recorded it in about fifteen minutes. It's very avant garde - as George would say ' avant garde a clue' - and George did not like it 'cos he doesn't like avant garde music . RV: Who wrote it? PM: It's officially me. I instigated it. No there's no lyrics, it's avant garde music. You would class it as ... well you wouldn't class it actually, but it would come in the Stockhausen/John Cage bracket ... John Cage would be the nearest . It's very free-form. Yeah man, it's the coolest piece of music since sliced bread! RV: This is early '67? PM: I was asked about '67 to do it by Barry Miles - you know, who did my book Many Years From Now - and he asked me to do it for this event at The Roundhouse called Carnival Of Light, so that's how it got its title. And he asked me to write a fifteen to twenty minute piece, and I was into that kind of thing, not on record with The Beatles, but just for that. I went into the studio and said to the guys, Look we've got half an hour before the session officially starts, would you mind terribly if I did this thing? RV: So this is with the other Beatles? PM: With the other Beatles. This is a Beatle record. And they all just fell in with the spirit of it and I just said, Would you go on that and would you stay on that and would you be on that and we'll just take twenty minutes to do it in real time? And they all just got into it. RV: Why don't you release it? PM: I actually have a project I would like ... I'm involved ... One of the many things I did, I did a thing called The Grateful Dead Photo Film, using Linda's snapshots and making them move, dissolving between them and making them into a film, a short art film, which I showed at festivals and things. And I'm actually in the process - although everything else and its uncle is holding it up - but I've got a Beatles photo film on the go and I would love to use it as part of the soundtrack of that. RV: There was a rumour it was going to come out on Anthology. What happened with that? PM: It was up for consideration on The Anthology and George vetoed it. He didn't like it. Maybe its time hadn't come." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Interesting. Why would George call it "avant garde a clue"? Also, did this video Faul was talking about ever get made? Has anyone seen it? Does Jojo's absolutely wonderful server have the recordings from this event at all? I'd be interested in hearing them.

---------------------------------------------------- Interesting. Why would George call it "avant garde a clue"? Er....because it's a joke. Avant garde a clue sounds like "haven't got a clue". This was the same man who named the Beatle haircuts "Arthur". He was funny like that.

Do not roll your eyes at me, mister! It doesn't sound like that when I say it anyway, so I still may not have caught that even if I had considered it. Lacking a cool accent puts me at a disadvantage in life, clearly!

I've never seen the clowns pics before...When was this taken? Linda looks like she's in the "Family Way". Please forgive me for this... "Although I dress and I look like a clown Beneath this mask I am wearing a frown..."

Gotcha. I'm an idiot tonight, obviously. I'd like to blame it on my illness, but I am afraid my ridiculousness is a permanent thing! ;D I'd still like to hear a recording or see this video that is referenced if anyone has it!

Seriously that is one of the best examples of a "conspiracy" in PID I have yet to see to this date. Single handedly more convincing than any one of Phoneys obscure clues, including the "Beatle Bill" RA(oh yeah he faked that). Phoney has set himself up high on a plateau (literally, just look at the right album), which may be to his disadvantage. Can his elite status allow him to use clues from those perceived to be, if you will, common folk? I'm just saying (with permission grated) he ought to consider using this material in his RA serie(and then I'd forgive him for changing "Beatle Phil" to "Beatle Bill"). It could definitely open more eyes to PID.

What do you know about the publisher of the magazine JoJo? Just wondering if its a official Beatle magazine. I don't know why but I was having trouble getting the pic of the cover of the magazine to load.

A short Wiki article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Beatles_BookI'd say it was pretty official, pretty sure it was tied in with the fan club, and had the blessings of Brian Epstein et al. My site has been in a mood of late, try waiting a bit, sometimes that works.

haha my bad JoJo, I thought it was just another one of the pictures people find on the internet. Of course if you own the original of the magazine, it's a different story. Is there any credit for the front cover?
From the wikipedia page mentionned above: The magazine’s photographer, Leslie Bryce had unrivalled access to the group throughout the 1960s, travelling the world and taking thousands of photographs.
