Is it Sheppard, Campbell, Adrian...

I think there's enough clues that point towards Sheppard as being the best possibility (if Paul was replaced at all, of course). Campbell is out of left field and was just made up during the PID craze. As far as Adrian goes, first I'd like to find out who this "Adrian Sheppard" that drums on Wanderlust is, because it's pretty silly to start guessing that Adrian is part of his name based off of that. However, I haven't been able to find any information on the guy, so it could very well be a middle name.

it's all confused in my mind now, but i remember something about that song being about bill shepard, real name pablo fanque (or was it the other way round?). and i think someone explained how the song talked about a person that changed his name... but to be honest i don't remember well, i'll have to check on that.

sorry, i see the question was about the video... just making a guess i would say the clue is the hint to the song itself. i think people consider all songs refered to in "free as a bird" as songs containing clues. which would mean that since "bungalow bill" is refered to there, it must contain a clue... ok, i'm more confused than before...  |

The picture to me looks like it is supposed to be William Sheppard the wildlife hunter from the 1800's or whoever that is. from Bungalow Bill: "...in case of accidents, he always took his mom..." Look at the woman behind him. maybe his mother? |

Yes, you must have it on your old web page. That song was "Benefit of Mr. kite", whose real name was William something, but he changed it to Pablo Fanque. I posted it ;D |

Hi Everyone,
I think it was the other way around. "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite" was about another guy who changed his name from William something-or-other to Paul (Pablo Fanque).
There was a full explanation in this in LongJohn's (?) now-defunct website (whatever happened to it?).
I printed that out and have it in a file at home....
