What if when Bill is 91 yrs old, like Marc Felt who revealed he is Deep Throat, decides to announce to the entire world he is not Paul McCartney? Will Bill, Will, or whatever his name will decide at the end of his years, face the world with the truth? . (like Felt did?) This reminds me of Lewis Carroll's, Alice in Wonderland.
Nothing would be what is, Because everything would be what it isn't And contrary-wise - what it is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?
If someday Bill announces he is not Paul I might understand Alice's comments.

If someday Bill announces he is not Paul I might understand Alice's comments. That's very interesting, Maracuja. Well, I dunno about this exactly, but I do think history can, and even should be re-written sometimes. What would the World be like if Hilary (The Pink Poodle that walks like a Girl) Fluff decided she never wanted to sing (lol) or act (even Loler)? I think we could totally do well without her CD's and DVD's, tacky clothing line and snoozerama bulletins filling up the Music mags'. But for arguements sake, Say there's a musical artist or band that had sold millions and millions of CD's, Videos and had fans Worldwide. They've sold out concert venues everywhere for years, then retired...then suddenly they're removed from the face of the Earth, as far as being famous musicians goes, anyways. Let's say that somehow they had already acheived all this success and were known the World over, but one day, were no longer known by anybody? Let's go a step further. Say you had a time machine, (Not John Titors, his is a hoax and almost everybody knows it) and you went back in time, to the point in time just before they set out to conquer the World. And you invited them to forget about all the fame, success and fortune and the rest of it--and they said yes..so it never happens. Nobody ever hears from them, even though Once upon a time, it actually did happen. I guess it would depend on who it was. Would any of us really miss Hilary Fluff's influence...ummm..some people would. My heart breaks for them. But say a really popular artist or artists, (Not the Beatles, that would screw up the whole history of modern Pop/Rock music totally) were to suddenly, after years of being huge even after they were no longer together, suddenly were no longer actually on the radio? Nobody can name even one of their songs because all of a sudden history has been changed. Of course, it would happen that way because you made them a better offer. It'a an interesting thought, and I think that if history is changed, it can be a good thing, if it's for the right reasons. If I actually believed PID, I would say that all the more far-fetched conspiracies that I sometimes hear aside, I think it would probably be for the best if the Beatles carried on-- If it were true. Without the Beatles, thousands of Artists would've been totally different, and a lot of yesterday's and today's best music never would've gotton made. The Beatles have had more influence than anybody in POP music history. That I know of anyways. I'm saying all this with the assumption that the Beatles did NOT inspire William Hung (Of American Idol Imfamy) to take up singing--or whatever you'd call what he does, only because of their influence on him. In that case, if Paul or any of them had ever passed away in the 60's, I would say that they would be better off calling it quits.. But it's like the song says: "The history book on the shelf..is always repeating itself" So, never say never..I'd say..
