With the untimely death and replacement of James Paul Mc Cartney, the image of the Beatles changed dramatically.
Pre 1966: Four Lovable "Mop Tops", teen idols, pop musicians, cutesy, the "clean" alternative to the Rolling Stones "raunchy" image.
Post 1966: Four more mature "musicians, associated with LSD and drug experimentation, TM and Eastern mysticism, more lyrical music, no longer cute and lovable "mop tops", a more "mature" image. The music darker and drug influenced image.
Now I will also add that before they were famous mop tops, we know of their raunchy lifestyle in Hamburg. Not the "stuff" of clean cut mop tops that Brian was supposed to have packaged them to be.
If the story is true of them being an illuminati package, they could have heard about the attention at the Cavern Club in Liverpool and the attention they were getting in Hamburg, used them by cleaning them up and marketing them in a "pop idol" package, it would make sense. The entire mop top suited image is what most people remember the most, but this was an "image" and not everything is as it seems.
They were truly unique and talented musicians and we'll never see the likes of them ever again.
But alot of what we have read about and have seen in pictures and film clips are images that was given to us. But what was really behind all these images?
I believe John revealed a great deal in his music after 1966. Alot of double meanings and truths that we have only scratched the surface.
We were given "images", but what was really behind those images?
There was more to this group than just good music.....

All very true. Lenmac posted this photo on From the Sea of Green: Look at the face George is making at Paul ! By 1965, I think they'd had it with that "clean cut" image !
