Thanks.
Well, a short (or most likely a long-winded) bio of myself and my PID beliefs.... I'm a diehard Beatles fan who stumbled onto Uberkinder's site about six months ago, then followed that to the "60IF" page and forum. I laughed at this silly concept, but I couldn't ignore the strange change in appearance that Paul McCartney undertook in such a short amount of time. As I spent time lurking at the forum it became a guilty pleasure of mine, and I kept going back, then began re-examining my own Beatles collection. I started to realize that something was indeed going on, and it was beyond a silly pothead rumor from the late '60s. I became a full-fledged PID believer, and in my overzealousness I accepted 60IF as well.
Right around the time PID was becoming a full-fledged obsessive hobby of mine, the information about the inner-workings of the 60IF world came about, and suddenly I wasn't so sure anymore. That's what leads me here now... I still think something happened in late 1966 to Paul McCartney, but what exactly it is isn't clear. Was he murdered and replaced by an imposter in order to not let his killers "win?" Did he tragically die, only to be replaced by the British government so their number one export could remain alive? Did Paul want to become a "paperback writer" and retire, letting a man known as Bill Sheppard step in for him? Or is McCartney just unique in that his appearance can greatly change, and all of the "clues" are in our heads? Well, that's why I'm here. Whatever the truth is, I'd like to know it.
For the record, while I don't believe in a 60IF document, I do believe the majority of the clues it talks about are present. I believe we were being told that Paul was replaced by an OPP officer named William Sheppard, and that "Paul died very bloody." Hell, Brian might have even been murdered with him. However, these are already present within Beatles lyrics and album pictures, so all the credit I can give the writer of 60IF is being savvy enough to pick up on them. True or not, I've now realized that we need hard proof to go with these beliefs before we can tout them as fact. Simply having our theories being called "a masterpiece" won't suffice any longer.
To the truth... whatever that may be.
