Now, I know this song was written before the Beatles "trouble" period, however, when I looked up the lyrics on google search, they have all been attributed as Beatles lyrics! Why? I was sure they hadn't written this song.

If there is a significance of Revolution #9, does this have any significance of World revolutions since recorded history? And what is this particular one dealing with? Aliens and space travel? Aliens abducting rock stars?

I have no idea what the significance is compared to each other. After finding out about PID/PWR, I listened to Number 9 dream. That song is very interesting. To me, it seems that John is lamenting his long lost friend. He seems to be singing to him in the song. I think the song is a homage to Paul.

Revolution number 9 is an abomination. I know quite a few people who get the willies listening to that song. It doesn't matter whether it's forward or backwards, the result is the same.

I tend to agree with lili that #9 Dream is another PID song. And you can really get an idea of John's state of mind after reading the lyrics. What a loss for him.

That piece of "work" Rev. 9 was always disturbing to me, even before I realized all of the PID/PWR material. That sounds like a tortured soul in hell! It's not melodic, it doesn't speak anything plainly, it's just tormented sounds being put together. Maybe that was symbolic of John's life...

Actually I don't know. It could have been the 27th but strange things happen with numbers and I wouldn't be surprised if it on the 20th, 9 days later.

The pre-Don Knotts 60IF had some good information and it stated his body was found on the 20th. So, who knows really?

They ran this movie on Showtime a few days ago, I saw it. A candidate for one of the worst movies ever made. Written by the same screenwriter, Dale Launer, who wrote "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and "Ruthless People," and doesn't appear to have scripted a major Hollywood movie since 1992.

I've heard the Searchers' version and it's not the original. I forget who the original was. The Searchers were out about the same time as the Beatles' were. But the song was recorded in the 50's. I hear it once in a while on the oldies' station.
