I read Jo Jo's post with interest, googled that name and came up with this: "Harrison played his part in the plans of the man who came to be known as the fifth Beatle, Bill Shankly. Shankly employed John, Paul, George and Ringo, or the Fab Back Four as they came to be known, early on during the 1962/63 season to devastating effect. They were soon honed into the First Division's most impenetrable defensive line. John and Paul formed a particularly effective central defence/midfield partnership, with their incisive running and dribbling skills married to their remarkable close harmony singing." There was also a Beatle Ed! The link is: www.indiepages.com/littleteddy/gal/3.htmlIt says, "The Bartlebees and legendary 5th Beatle "Ed Rudy" at JFK" But John COULD have been talking about Paul. ;D

I did searches on both "Bill" and "Ed" on Allmusic and nothing came up. A single in Sweden? ?

Speaking of guys named "Bill"...
In 1976, a concert promoter named Bill Sargent offered the Beatles $50,000,000 for one reunion concert. Then, of course, Saturday Night Live did a parody where they offered $3,000.
I do not have anymore information on the Bill Sargent story though.

Jai, do you have a cite for that, if not more of the story. I may have an idea who that man is.

Sorry TotalInfo, nothing other than your typical "This day in Beatle history" site which gives no more info than what I've said here.
