I heard SUSANNAH'S STILL ALIVE on THE KINK KRONIKLES cd and Dave Davies (I thought it was Ray Davies, sorry) sounds alot more like Faul there than on the YouTube video. Onward.... There are 3 other songs in George Harrison's , I, ME, MINE book that I think may be directed toward Paul. The first is BE HERE NOW. The lyrics are: Remember, Now, Be Here Now As it's not like it was before. The past, was, Be Here Now As it's not like it was before--it was Why try to live a life, that isn't real, no how A mind that wants to wander / FIXING A HOLE reference? 'round a corner / is an un-wise mind. Now Is, Here Now, and it's not what it was before, Remember, Now, Be Here, Now as it's not like it was before--it was.
That was written in 1971. Then... There's CRACKERBOX PALACE, written by George in 1976 and IF YOU BELIEVE, written in 1978. I'll go into those tomorrow.
And just a little explanation here. I am tech-unsavvy and I'll have to learn hyperlinks, uploads, downloads, and all the other pc funhouse stuff, so please be patient.

I don't understand your post, JoJo. Please clarify. I'll get back to the CRACKERBOX PALACE reference. But the IF YOU BELIEVE reference is, I believe, the following lines: You can worry your life away with Not knowing what each new day may bring to you Or take each day as it goes on Wake up to the love that flows on, around you
This is an obvious point back to the WITHIN YOU, WITHOUT YOU line: ...and life flows on within you and without you.
Later on in IF YOU BELIEVE, there are these lines: Too many troubles you can't control To get you falling into the holes they dig for you.
George was obviously talking to somebody in this song, and if you think that WITHIN YOU WITHOUT YOU was written to Paul (I do), then I think this song was too.

I found a Hollies' song that I think is important. It was on their 1975 ANOTHER NIGHT album and it's called I'M DOWN (!):
Shook my head out of dreams Reality's calling The early bird's been up all morning But I've got no notion of moving from where I am.
Though my legs won't move I feel disabled I'm on a shelf and article labeled Waiting for someone to fetch me from the lost and found I'm down no one to hear me calling I'm down no one to see me falling I'm down.
Had my ways With days of sunshine Life came easy it all fell in line But then again I didn't realise
When yoou're used to one thing I't's hard to accept another Like the woman who brought you up Well she ain't you mother How do you cope With a thing like that
I always thought it was my dad who went to war Thought it was my sister who fell off the wasll My pseudo-brother Billy emigrated long ago Someone went through pain to have me Someone I should know I'm down I'm down.
To the folks who brought me up I'm not ungrateful Kept the secret from me They thought it was shameful It hurt me so To be the last to know
Maybe someone's out there Looking for me Left on their own Couldn't afford to clothe me And I I don't even know my real name I'm down I'm down I'm down.
____________ I'm thinking this could be about Paul, his brother, or both of them. Whaddya think?

Small correction. The line reads: Thought it was my sister who fell off the wall.

I don't understand your post, JoJo. Please clarify. Never mind, I didn't understand that "If You Believe" was a song title. I read it to mean "if you believe it (Crackerbox Palace) was written in 1978. (which would be science fiction of course, heh)

Another Monkees lyric. From the 1968 album Head.
Circle Sky lyrics by Michael Nesmith
Circle sky Telling lies, Here I stand At demand. 'Cause it looks like we've made it once again, Yes, it looks like we've made it once again. Color sound Is all around, Wing tip smile Sees for miles. And it looks like we've made it once again, Yes, it looks like we've made it once again. It's a very extraordinary scene To those who don't understand, But, what you have seen you must believe, If you can, if you can. Hamilton Smiling down, Telling more Than before. 'Cause it looks like we've made it once again, Yes, it looks like we've made it to the end.

Song mentioned in Paulombo's post above: The Hollies I'm Downwww.youtube.com/watch?v=rdPcQ4cUC30Very interesting lyrics, Paulombo! These jump out at me:"Though my legs won't move I feel disabled"In the "American Dream" video by Crosby Stills Nash and Young, the Paul McCartney character is in a wheel chair. "Thought it was my sister who fell off the wall My pseudo-brother Billy emigrated long ago" (to the USSR?) (Someone's 'sister' about to fall off the wall?)"Like the woman who brought you up Well she ain't you mother.... I always thought it was my dad who went to war"
Possible connections: He was the egg man/"My Mummy's Dead"/ Lily the victim of the Beast Iameye wrote: "I like that you are getting the susanna reference, finally, See B? Not that hard, is it? "But is a cigar sometimes just a cigar: The Hollies - Sorry Suzannewww.youtube.com/watch?v=0nyWp96p4xkOR, is a cigar some times something more?: Hollies - He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brotherwww.youtube.com/watch?v=e7HPqi5uVeoNeil Diamond The road is long With many a winding turn (the long and winding road) That leads us to who knows where? Who knows where
But I'm strong Strong enough to carry him He ain't heavy, he's my brother
So on we go His welfare is of my concern No burden is he, to bear We'll get there For I know He would not encumber me He ain't heavy, he's my brother
If I'm laden at all I'm laden with sadness That everyone's heart Isn't filled with the gladness Of love for one another
It's a long, long road From which there is no return While we're on our way to there Why not share
And the load Doesn't weigh me down at all He ain't heavy, he's my brother He ain't heavy, he's my brother.
Of course, you'd think I'd have picked up on this sooner: The Byrds - Oh! Susannah www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDPBxetFUZgD'Oh! Suzannah.

The Monkees - HEAD (Circle Sky)www.youtube.com/watch?v=87Nd10jeNmU"but what you have seen, you must believe if you can if you can
Hamilton smiling down telling more than before
and it looks weve made it once again and it looks weve made it to the end!"Interesting contrast between: "what you have seen, you must believe if you can"and the song lyrics in the latest video from Josh Blue in the RA thread: "Do you believe In what you see? Motionless wheel. Nothing is real Wasting my time In the waiting line Do you believe in What you see?" from the song "In The Waiting Line" by Zero 7 Watching that clip, I can see reasons why you might have posted the song, Eyesbleed. The double imagery, reflecting, is very, dare I say, Zodiak-esque? And there's the suggestion of two sets of Monkees. The originals, and the ones who "made it once again" (like the first ones had). Hmmm. You must believe! !eveileb tsum uoY I'd be interested in any comments from you regarding the song, EB. Helpless (Neil Young) www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YOo1XqKBJgThere is a town in north Ontario, With dream comfort memory to spare, And in my mind I still need a place to go, All my changes were there. Blue, blue windows behind the stars, Yellow moon on the rise, Big birds flying across the sky, Throwing shadows on our eyes. Leave us Helpless, helpless, helpless Baby can you hear me now? The chains are locked and tied across the door, Baby, sing with me somehow. Blue, blue windows behind the stars, Yellow moon on the rise, Big birds flying across the sky, Throwing shadows on our eyes. Leave us Helpless, helpless, helpless. ------------possibly tied to------------------- Helplessly Hoping www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArczUVXrODQ There's something going on there, but I don't quite know what it is. One of my favorite songs they ever did. Loved that period of their music. Bang loud and carry and a big pair of sticks. You may have something, here. Well, they had their "smoking gun". Hmm. One of those media catch words. Kind of like Rush Limbaugh, who recently took claim for "letting loose" something he called "Operation Chaos." Maybe the Apple folks have a little game (in order to stay somewhat sane) called, "Operation Klues." Well, let's all be on the lookout for this style of hand signal for a while. I am not sure if Sir Paul's left hand on hip is supposed to tell us anything like, ev'rybody do the hokey-pokey, or, he thinks Sun King is some kind of a closet case, or, maybe "You be a sassy mamma, Ellen DeGeneres". I just don't know. He may be coaching his audience in the nuances of "The Time Warp." I get a the idea that Sir Paul just NEEDS to dance, sometimes. If these are coded messages for James Paul, gosh, that will take better minds than mine for the delving. Is it possible that Neil left a wish list, or specific instructions, consisting of bits and pieces to be shared with us after his premature passing? We'll have to hunt Sir Paul's concert footage since, say, 2003 for archetypical, broad, symbolic gesturing. It could get overly detailed. He does not stand still much.

There's another Hollies song that is interesting. It is from their THE VERY BEST OF THE HOLLIES album released in 1975 and it is called HEY, WILLY:
Hey Willy, your mother calls you Billy Your father calls you silly But you really are a pretty one.
Hey baby you're dressing like a lady The fellows call you Sadie [!] But you really are a pretty one.
You don't care What they say about your hair 'Cause the bad man's smiling Every time he sees you comin', yeah.
Willy is the singer in a rock 'n' roll band Every time he shows his face It's just to put away a grand, oh yeah.
The British groups were obviously making comments in their songs about what was happening with the Beatles and I'll plow through their song lists looking for those messages.

The Hollies -Yes I Will*www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-CjAxAa5oUhistory of The Hollies: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hollies"The Hollies took The Beatles' slot at the Cavern Club. The Beatles had graduated from the club and had been signed to EMI's Parlophone label by producer George Martin. The amount of musical activity in Liverpool and Manchester caused record producers who had previously never ventured very far from London to start looking to the north. One of them was Ron Richards, a staff producer at EMI, who went up to the Cavern in January 1963. What he found was a tiny club that lived up to its reputation and that The Hollies could do more than just wail (Eder, 1996)."* Written by Doris Troy: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doris_Troy

I found another PID/PWR song from the Kinks called WHERE HAVE ALL THE GOOD TIMES GONE?:
Well, lived my life and never stopped to worry 'bout a thing Opened up and shouted out and never tried to sing Wondering if I'd done wrong Will this depression last for long?
Won't you tell me Where have all the good times gone? Where have all the good times gone?
Well, once we had an easy ride and always felt the same Time was on our side and I had everything to gain Let it be like yesterday Please let me have happy days
Won't you tell me Where have all the good times gone? Where have all the good times gone?
Ma and Pa look back at all the things they used to do. Didn't have no money and they always told the truth, Daddy didn't have no toys And mummy didn't need no boys.
Won't you tell me Where have all the good times gone? Where have all the good times gone?
Well, yesterday was such an easy game for you to play But let's face it things are so much easier today Guess you need some bringing down And get your feet back on the ground.
Won't you tell me Where have all the good times gone? Where have all the good times gone? Where have all the good times gone?
Recorded October 23-30, 1965 and first LP it was on was THE KINK KONTROVERSY LP.

True; "Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play" compared to:
"Well, yesterday was such an easy game for you to play"
I'd have to say that qualifies. ;D
This is interesting:
"But let's face it, things are so much easier today Guess you need some bringing down And get your feet back on the ground."
A suggestion, perhaps, of too much partying and drug indulgence.
