Does anyone have any skills in deciphering hieroglyphics? The reason asking, the very top left of the picture, the dude next to Grace Slick, I think his name is Jack Cassady, are some symbols that look like hieroglyphs...
Then next to Marty Balin's hand (the man on the other side of Gracie) there is a dark spot, in a shadow...what appears to look like a head of a "Beatle" and next to it looks like a white cane.
Maybe I'm imaginative, but that's what it looks like to me.
We've talked about White Rabbit, from ALice in Wonderland, and that story being used as a mind control programming story to prepare slaves....makes me wonder how much they knew about mind control and if they were part of it too?

Let's Go!(The Cars) (He blew his mind out in a car.)see it/hear it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMaLi4c22gUShe's driving away, with the dim lights on. She's making a play, and she can't go wrong! (double entendre - life is a stage on which we must play our parts)She never waits too long. She's winding them down, on her clock machine. (Time Machine)And she won't give up, 'cause she's seventeen. (She was just seventeen.)She's a frozen fire She's my one desire CHORUS And I don't want to hold her down; Don't want to break her crown (triple entendre - one is head wound, one is the crown chakra, the other, well... )When she says, "Let's go!" I like the nightlife baby She says, "I like the night life baby!" She says, let's go She's laughing inside, 'cause they can't refuse! She's so beautiful now, she doesn't wear her shoes! (She's dead / she's dancing barefoot) She never likes to choose. She's got wonderful eyes, and a risque mouth. And when I asked her before, she said she's holding out. She's a frozen fire (Fireman - See post above. The Khundalini fire of spiritual awareness)She's my one desire --------------------------------------- On one level this song is about an attractive seventeen year old girl who inspires lust. On another level, it's a very cleverly disguised song about Paul McCartney. If you don't see it, don't worry. It's quite oblique. Think in terms of Paul as a 'deity' or spirit not limited by time, or as 'the fire' of the Holy Spirit, often considered the feminine aspect of God in the Trinity. The Khundalini fire. The Fireman's flame does not go out. She doesn't like to choose one person over another; She is his one desire - the 'pearl of great price'. He wishes to achieve spiritual awareness. Gee, did I say "Pearl"? I saw a girl who sang the blues, and I asked her for some happy news... "She's driving away, with the dim lights on. She's making a play, and she can't go wrong!" is actually a description of all of us "here below". We're driving along with our 'dim lights' on. That is to say: We see the physical things, but we don't have our spiritual vision. We don't see what's happening in the world of spirit. Our dim lights (parking lights) are on, but our headlights aren't. And we're making a play: the story of our lives! And (fortunately) we can't go wrong!

Heh. That's bizarre, jarv. Perhaps the dearly departeds had a sense of humor, eh? Language is weird. A friend of mine used to watch "Murder She Wrote" on a regular basis. Whenever I would hear: "Angela Lansbury in 'Murder She Wrote' " it always sounded as if it should be: "Angela is land-buried; 'Twas Murder!', she wrote!" Yes, it Twas. Funny how the story gets told here, there, and just about everywhere. Bill uses some language tricks on the Ram album. On "Long Haired Lady" he sings: "Long Haired, Lately" at one point, meaning perhaps that Linda was wearing her hair long these days, or possibly that the late Paul had been wearing a womans' wig of late. Or something. There's a lot of subliminal babbling going on under the somewhat loud guitar playing and singing at the end of that song. I wonder what that's all about. There's some interesting stuff on Surrealistic Pillow cover that hasn't been brought up yet. For one, speaking of language, the name itself. It was thought of as just some sort of "far out" concept by people who wondered what it meant. But given the Beatles' references to pillows: "I never give you my pillow I only send you my invitation And in the middle of the celebrations I break down." and dreaming: "Oh yeah, all right! Are you going to be in my dreams tonight?" ("my invitation")and sleeping: "Please, don't wake me, no, don't shake me Leave me where i am - I'm Only Sleeping" which, incidently, has these rather intriguing lines: "Please, don't spoil my day; I'm miles away, And after all, I'm 'only sleeping'. Keeping an eye on the world going by my window (As if he's in space... the eye in the sky)Taking my time.... (to return to Earth)I'm so easily lead astray it seems.... Anyway, with all those Beatle references to sleeping and dreams and so on, the name Surrealistic Pillow suddenly sounds like it might have some significance beyond just being a psychedelic "heavy!" name for an album. Especially when one of the bonus tracks on the 2003 CD version is called: " J. P.P. McStep B. Blues"! If anyone happens to have that track, I'd sure like to give it a listen! ;D So anyway... "Please don't you be very long or i may be asleep" This surrealistic pillow we're all presumably 'asleep' on may be about to get shaken a bit. Did you notice the hourglass on the Surrealistic Pillow album cover next to the top of the banjo? No wait. It's not really an hourglass, is it? It looks more like a UFO over a pyramid or something. Like maybe this: And what is that heart covered with stars to the right of Marty Balin's elbow? Is that perhaps the "seven sisters", the Pleiades star system? Cleverly portrayed as the "Sacred Heart" with thorns around it? I'm just askin'. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, after all.

Some have it nice! Fat and round! Flash! Paradise! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q3FeR6JlPgA rather unpleasant thought, to be sure. Getting nuked. If you had the McCartney Eye to look through time, you might want to attempt to persuade people not to go down this path. If you could see the world tonight; look into the future - if you were part of the Ashtar Command or some other alien group, and were "very wise to [your] disguise, trying to revolutionize tomorrow" so that no one would allow some Bush type to start a conflagration, you might try singing silly love songs to them to discourage the 'big bang'. And if you had a concern that you might get bumped off along the way, you might consider having a double, just in case. Like the people shown on the "Crown of Creation" album cover. (See? There's two of them.) But the real meaning to that is something else, I do believe.

golden slumber
The classic bed pillow shape is a square or golden rectangle with four corners reminiscent of the shape of the ears of a cat. Each corner of a pillow is referred to as a nib. When a pillow is placed on a flat surface the "poof point" is the crest of the pillow roundness. A golden rectangle is a rectangle whose side lengths are in the golden ratio, 1: (one-to-phi), that is, approximately 1:1.618. A distinctive feature of this shape is that when a square section is removed, the remainder is another golden rectangle, that is, with the same proportions as the first. Square removal can be repeated infinitely, which leads to an approximation of the golden spiral. According to astrophysicist and math popularizer Mario Livio, since the publication of Luca Pacioli's Divina Proportione in 1509,[1] when "with Pacioli's book, the Golden Ratio started to become available to artists in theoretical treatises that were not overly mathematical, that they could actually use,"[2] many artists and architects have proportioned their works to approximate the form of the golden rectangle, which has been considered aesthetically pleasing.

The alternate White Album cover shows a child's face, damaged. In other threads the meaning of this has been discussed. I believe it represents Paul having reverted to a child-like state. I believe that this was due to an attempt at suicide that he made, due to Sylvie's death, which he felt responsible for. There are a number of songs I feel suggest that he became child-like after the failed attempt. Here are a few that may have been inspired by such an event. I have not included Pink Floyd's "Signs of Life", which included spoken comments about someone who reverted to a childlike state, because I can't find the studio version on YouTube, and you kind of have to hear it. The Beatles' "Fixing A Hole" could conceivably fit in the mix. I apologize for the unpleasantness of this topic.(Please ignore the blue face.)Goin' Back (Carole King and Gerry Goffin) done by: The Byrds hear it:[/b] www.youtube.com/watch?v=olqvPg3GL1MI think I'm goin' back To the things I learned so well in my youth I think I'm returning to Those days when I was young enough to know the truth Now there are no games To only pass the time No more electric trains No more trees to climb But thinking young and growing older is no sin And I can play the game of life to win I can recall a time When I wasn't ashamed to reach out to a friend Now I think I've got A lot more than just my toys to lend Now there's more to do Than watch my sailboat glide But every day can be A magic carpet ride A little bit of courage is all we lack So catch me if you can, I'm goin' back La la la la la, etc. Now there's more to do Than watch my sailboat glide But every day can be A magic carpet ride A little bit of courage is all we lack So catch me if you can, I'm goin' back La la la la, etc. ------------------------------------------------ Lather (Grace Slick) The Jefferson Airplane hear it:[/b] www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVstafKZDYYLather was thirty years old today, They took away all of his toys. His mother sent newspaper clippings to him, About his old friends who'd stopped being boys. There was Harwitz E. Green, just turned thirty-three, His leather chair waits at the bank. And Seargent Dow Jones, twenty-seven years old, Commanding his very own tank. But Lather still finds it a nice thing to do, To lie about nude in the sand, Drawing pictures of mountains that look like bumps, And thrashing the air with his hands. But wait, oh Lather's productive you know, He produces the finest of sound, Putting drumsticks on either side of his nose, Snorting the best licks in town, But that's all over... Lather was thirty years old today, And Lather came foam from his tongue. He looked at me eyes wide and plainly said, Is it true that I'm no longer young? And the children call him famous, And the old men call him insane, And sometimes he's so nameless, That he hardly knows which game to play... Which words to say... And I should have told him, "No, you're not old." And I should have let him go on...smiling...babywide. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I think the song "Who Can It Be, Now?" done by 'Men at Work' has already been discussed in this thread. If not, I'll add it to the list.

Who Can It Be Now? (Men at Work) See it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOuEYSJCFqEWho can it be knocking at my door? Go 'way, don't come 'round here no more. Can't you see that it's late at night? I'm very tired, and I'm not feeling right. All I wish is to be alone; Stay away, don't you invade my home. Best off if you hang outside, Don't come in - I'll only run and hide. Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be knocking at my door? Make no sound, tip-toe across the floor. If he hears, he'll knock all day, I'll be trapped, and here I'll have to stay. I've done no harm, I keep to myself; There's nothing wrong with my state of mental health. I like it here with my childhood friend; Here they come, those feelings again! Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Is it the man come to take me away? Why do they follow me? It's not the future that I can see, It's just my fantasy Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Oh...Who can it be now? Oh...Who can it...Who can it... Oh...Who can it be now? Oh... yeah yeah yeahThe question "Who can it be now?" can refer to who is knocking at the door, but it also can mean: "Who is this song about"?

We are all familiar with the line, "He shoot Coca-Cola", in the Beatles song "Come Together", and how they appear to apply to Paul McCartney. I suspect, however, that he may have had a problem with "speed" as well. Not only does the Faul song "Helen Wheels" implicitly suggest a problem with 'speed', but The Byrds song "Artificial Energy", which I believe may be about Paul, contains the line: "I'm coming down from amphetymine". In Neil Young's song "Hey Hey, My My" there is the line: "It's better to burn out than it is to rust." The term "burn out" was used in the 1960s about the fate of 'speed freaks' more than acid or other drugs, and the song has been linked to Paul McCartney by the Dezombificator at TKIN. I am not personally aquainted with the effects of meth abuse, but apparently paranoia is one symptom. Here is a song, for educational purposes, done by Canned Heat. (Sorry, no music.) AMPHETAMINE ANNIE (Robert J. Hite Jr.)
This is a song with a message, I want you to heeeeed my warning.
Wanna tell you all a story, about this chick I know. They call her Amphetamine Annie, and she's always shovelin' snow. I sat her down and told her, I told her crystal clear I don't mind you gettin' high but there's one thing you should fear: Your mind might think it's flyin' baby on those little pills But you ought to know it's dyin', cause - speed kills!
But Annie kept on speedin', her health was gettin' poor She saw things in the window, she heard things at the door Her mouth was like a grindin' mill, her lips where cracked and soar Her skin was turnin' yellow;I just couldn't take it no more. She thought her mind was flyin' on those litte pills She didn't know it was going down fast- speed kills!
Yaaaa, speed can kill you too baby!
Well I sat her down and told her, I told her one more time, The whole wide human race has taken far too much melamine. She said "I don't care what a limey says, I got to get it on! I'm not hip to the scene of the man who comes from across the pond." She wouldn't heed my warning, Lord she wouldn't hear what I said. Now she's here in the grave yard, and she's awfully dead.
Ya, speed gonna kill you! Anybody. Speed will get you! Speed from over the pond. There ain't no hope baby... Yaa, aah hah. Spoon a Spoon a Spoon.... huah...----------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I read those lyrics, I thought about the song "Dreamboat Annie", by Heart. Dreamboat Annie (Ann Wilson) hear it/see it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5qsO9Ms7NsHeading out this morning into the sun Riding on the diamond waves, little darlin' one Warm wind caress her Her lover it seems Oh, Annie Dreamboat Annie little ship of dreams Going down the city sidewalk alone in the crowd No one knows the lonely one whose head's in the cloudsSad faces painted over with those magazine smiles Heading out to somewhere won't be back for a while ------------------------------------------ Some one on amphetymines? Every time I think about it, I want to cry. Shine on you CRAZY diamond: Crazy On You ( Heart) hear it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5PKULglde8If we still have time We might still get by Every time I think about it I want to cry With bombs and the devil Little kids keep coming No way to breathe easy...no time to be young But I tell myself that I was doing alright There's nothing left to do tonight but go crazy on you crazy on you let me go crazy crazy on you My love is the evening breeze touching your skin The gentle sweet singing of leaves in the wind The whisper that calls after you in the night And kisses your ear in the early light And you don't need to wonder, you're doing fine My love, the pleasure's mine Let me go crazy on you crazy on you let me go crazy crazy on you Wild man's world is crying in pain what you gonna do when everybody's insane So afraid of one who's so afraid of you what you gonna do oh....ahhhhhhhhhh. oooooo crazy on you, crazy on you, let me go crazy crazy on you I was a willow last night in my dream I bent down over a clear running stream I sang you the song that I heard up above And you kept me alive with your sweet, flowing love crazy, yeah, crazy on you let me go crazy crazy on you crazy on you crazy on you let me go crazy crazy on you, yeah

Originally this song was about a shared girl friend, but it evolved into this, as I understand it. It was done well by the Buffalo Springfield, but the only version on YouTube is the link posted, and it's just Neil by himself. I suspect Clancy is Paul, and the line about "seeing eyes through the crack in the floor" may be about the paranoia of a 'speed freak', which is why I am posting this. Another possible indication that 'Clancy' (Paul) may have had a problem . Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing (Neil Young) hear it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsXiotsNCq4Who's that stomping all over my face? Where's that silhouette I'm trying to trace? Who's putting sponge in the bells I once rung And taking my gypsy, before she's begun To singing the meaning of what's in my mind (possibly Neil wrote some 'Beatle' songs; Paul his gypsy)Before I can take home what's rightfully mine. (his pay; his girlfriend in the original song)Joinin' and listenin,' and talkin' in rhymes Stoppin' the feeling to wait for the times. Who's saying "Baby, that don't mean a thing, 'Cause nowadays Clancy can't even sing!" And who's all hung-up on that happiness thing? Who's trying to tune all the bells that he rings? (Faul?)And who's in the corner, and down on the floor With pencil and paper, just counting the score? (George Martin?)Who's trying to act like he's just in between? (a record company agent, most likely)The line isn't black, if you know that it's green. (the bottom line is money)Don't bother looking, you're too blind to see. (Paul, unfortunately)Who's coming on like he wanted to be? (Faul)Who's saying "Baby, that don't mean a thing, 'Cause nowadays Clancy can't even sing!" And who's coming home on the old nine-to-five? Who's got the feeling that he came alive, (Faul)Though havin' it, sharin' it, ain't quite the same (Paul 'has it', Faul is sharing in the glory)It ain't no gold nugget; you can't lay a claim. Who's seeing eyes through the crack in the floor (Possibly Paul being paranoid, delusional)There it is baby, don't you worry no more. (He gives him a fix.)Who should be sleepin', but is writing this song, Wishin' and a-hopin' he weren't so damned wrong? (Neil hating Faul)Who's saying "Baby, that don't mean a thing, 'Cause nowadays Clancy can't even sing!"

Tune-a by the cockeyed world in two. Throw your pride to one side, It's the least you can do. Beatniks and politics, nothing is new. A yardstick for lunatics, one point of view. In 1969/1970 a record came out by King Crimson called "In the Court of King Crimson". Virtually every song on the album could contain PID clues, but it's hard to decipher what is being said in many of the songs. Here is a link to the lyrics on that album: lyrics.rockmagic.net/lyrics/king_crimson/in_the_court_of_the_crimson_king_1969.html#01Here is a small portion of the lyrics to the song "In the Court of the Crimson King" that I think we can get the gist of: On soft grey mornings widows cry, The wise men share a joke; I run to grasp divining signs To satisfy the hoax. The yellow jester does not play But gently pulls the strings And smiles as the puppets dance In the court of the crimson king. Shall I interpret? Of course I shall! ;D The widow(s) of one officially pronounced dead cry on a grey morning, while those who are "in the know" about the hoax that Faul is now Paul have a laugh. The person singing this song looked for the 'Paul is dead' clues on Beatle albums like everybody did. The cowardly jester who tells the Beatles what to do, but who does not play along with them, "pulls the strings" of the Beatles, and smiles, as they do what he 'orders' in this hellish situation.

Just a Game
Mickey Dolenz / The Monkees There's a way There's a way for you and I If you'll just stay. If you'll just stay to keep me hidden from the day, And all its light, That's covered up by night when you're away. When you're away the image of your face is clear, It is clear across the room and I am here, Against the wall, afraid that it is all Just a game. Just a game that's played in fun But not too real. Not too real to take a chance on finding out You've really lost. I can't see you clearly while I'm here. While I'm here and you are in my state of mind. My state of mind is changing places all the time, And I am lost Trying to get across another time. When you're away the image of your face is clear, It is clear across the room and I am here, Against the wall, afraid that it is all Just a game Just a game Just a game.
----------------------------------
First recorded -
1967 March 28 - "Just A Game" (Tracking And Overdubs) - RCA Studio C in Hollywood
Just a few weeks after the Monkees went to A Day in the Life sessions & Mickey & FAUL hung out.

I posted this in another section, but it should be here too, imo. Sheryl sings about the Faul/Paul situation here, imo. She is in the role of Paul, being thrown out of her own house by her double. (Faul takes over house.) The lyrics are interesting as well. They seem to tell the story of Paul, in some ways. I don't see this as a song putting down Faul, but rather one putting down Paul! The last verse is interesting. Someone at the "Paul Is Dead" site mentioned a Charlie Manson song about a "monkey" who became deranged after being hit by a train. link: only1rad.proboards62.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=lyrics&thread=1205772409&page=1So the line " thinking about catching a train" is interesting. Not a passenger train, perhaps, but like a hobo would, attempting to hop on one perhaps. And the inference is it would be to escape a murder scene. Iamaphoney has left clues suggesting that Paul may have been at the Manson ranch. Maybe he fled after he realized they were murdering people. A strange song all around. Sheryl Crow - "A Change Would Do You Good" - B/W version www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIZT7OTevusTen years living in a paper bag Feedback baby, he's a flipped out cat (reports that Paul, long replaced, is 'flipped out')He's a platinum canary, drinkin' Falstaff beer Mercedes rule, and a rented Lear Bottom feeder insincere Prophet, lo-fi pioneer Sell the house and go to school Get a young girlfriend, daddy's jewel (Did Paul do this?)A change would do you good A change would do you good God's little gift is on the rag Poster girl posing in a fashion mag Canine, feline, Jekyll and Hyde Wear your fake fur on the inside (Was he a transvestite?)Queen of south beach, aging blues Dinner's at six, wear your cement shoes I thought you were singing your heart out to me Your lips were syncing and now I see A change would do you good A change would do you good Chasing dragons with plastic swords Jack off Jimmy, everybody, wants more Scully and angel on the kitchen floor And I'm calling Buddy on the ouija board (Buddy Holly)I've been thinking 'bout catching a train Leave my phone machine by the radar range Hello it's me, I'm not at home If you'd like to reach me, leave me alone A change would do you good A change would do you good Hello, it's me, I'm not at home If you'd like to reach me, leave me alone A change would do you good A change would do you good ---------------------------------------- She's thrown out of her apartment by "herself", and then there comes a 'death cab' for cutie?

Joy Ride ( ROXette) see it/hear it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCuNURZrBF0i hit the road out of nowhere, ("Nowhere Man")i had to jump in my car and be a rider in a love game following the stars, don't need no book of wisdom, i get no money talk at all. she has a train going downtown, she's got a club on the moon and she's telling all her secrets in a wonderful balloon. oh she's the heart of the funfair, she's got me whistling her private tune. and it all begins where it ends, and she's all mine, my magic friend. she says: hello, you fool, i love you, c'mon join the joyride, join the joyride. she's a flower, i can paint her, she's a child of the sun, we're a part of this together, could never turn around and run. don't need no fortune teller to know where my lucky love belongs - oh no. 'cause it all begins again when it ends, and we're all magic friends. she says: hello, you fool, i love you, c'mon join the joyride, be a joyrider. I'll take you on a skyride, a feeling like you're spellbound. the sunshine is a lady who rocks you like a baby! she says hello... ------------------------------------ The video looks like an Iamaphoney dream, and the lyrics talk about a fool, a skyride, and a club on the moon. The video is reminiscent of the Roger Water's "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" video, and Faul's Lonely Road. youtube.com/watch?v=RqWuv8m2WsoNothing provable here, but I'd bet money on it: PID/PWR related.

Don't know if it's relevant, but in response to the Beatles' "Mr. Moonlight" there is a Bauhaus tune called "Who Killed Mr. Moonlight", and I post it here for your perusal:
Who Killed Mr. Moonlight? Consider green lakes And the idocy of clocks Someone shot nostalgia in the back Someone shot our innocence
A broken arrow in a bloody pool The wound in the face Of midnight proposals Someone shot nostalgia in the back Someone shot our innocence
In the shadow of his smile In the shadow of his smile In the shadow of his smile In the shadow of his smile
All our dreams have melted down We are hiding in the bushes From dead men Doing Douglas Fairbanks' stunts
All our stories burnt Our films lost in the rushes We can't paint any pictures As the moon had all our brushes
Extracting wasps from stings in flight Who killed Mr. Moonlight? Who killed Mr. Moonlight In the shadow of his smile Who killed Mr. Moonlight In the shadow of his smile [/b]

I have found another PID/PWR song: The Kinks' SUSANNAH'S STILL ALIVE: Oh, Suzannah's bedraggled but she still wears the locket 'round her neck. She's got a picture on the table Of a man who is young and able. Oh, Suzannah's gonna cry, Oh, Suzannah's still alive Whiskey or gin, that's alright.
This was recorded by The Kinks in August, 1967. But the amazing thing is that Ray Davies sings it with a Faul impression. Oh, Suzannah's

And there is more. In George Harrison's 1980 autobiography I, ME, MINE, he had a handwritten draft for a 1969 song called BADGE. One of the lines was: "(I told you 'bout our kid--now he's married to Mable (in a bottle and labled dis-abled.)" In the printed lyrics, the line reads: "Then I told you about 'our kid' now he's married to Mabel." Who is 'our kid'? Harrison did mention that Ringo came in--drunk--and offered a line for the song. But I've never read anywhere that he was labeled disabled. In Eric Idle and Neil Innes' 1978 satire of the Beatles--The Rutles in ALL YOU NEED IS CASH--they talk where the ex-Rutles are today and they had the John Lennon character--Ron Nasty--in a wheelchair. But I've never seen anything about John really being disabled. That leaves Paul. In Paul's brother's 1981 book THE MACS, Michael McCartney mentions Paul as "our kid" several times. The "married to Mabel in a bottle" line is a reference to a Carling Black Label beer's--a Canadian beer popular in England--ad campaign of the 1950's and '60's that had a character named Mabel and the jingle was--"Hey, Mabel! Black Label! Carling Black Label beer!" This is a long way around to say that I think Paul was alive in 1969, disabled somehow, and drinking heavily. Whaddya think?

Thinkin that I might have drove you too far. And Im thinkin bout the love that you laid on my table. I told you not to wander round in the dark. I told you bout the swans, that they live in the park. Then I told you bout our kid, now he's married to Mabel. Yes, I told you that the light goes up and down. Dont you notice how the wheel goes round? And you better pick yourself up from the ground Before they bring the curtain down, Yes, before they bring the curtain down. Talkin bout a girl that looks quite like you. She didnt have the time to wait in the queue. She cried away her life since she fell off the cradle. ---------------------------- Excellent work, Paulumbo!
