Thanks to Jarvitronics for making me go out and get a 3 Dog Night album. The Show Must Go On (peaked at #4 the week of May 25, 1974). (Leo Sayer and David Alexander Courtney) Three Dog Night hear it/see it:www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_mXqttv5rEBaby, although I chose this lonely life (Paul left the band)It seems it's stranglin' me now All the wild men, big cigars, gigantic car They're all laughin' at the lie (that Faul is Paul)Oh, I've been used Ooo-oo-oo-oo I've been a fool Oh, what a fool! I broke all the rules, Oh, yeah! But I must let the show go on. Baby, there's an enormous crowd of people They're all after my blood. I wish maybe they'd tear down the walls of this theatre Let me out, let me out!Oh, I'm so blind Oh, I'm blind! (I think Paul suffered from blindness after a blow to the head)I wasted time Wasted, wasted, wasted time Walkin' on the wire, high wire But I must let the show go on. Oh, I'm so blind Oh, I'm blind I wasted time Wasted, wasted, all too much time Walkin' on the wire, high wire But I must let the show go on Baby, I wish you'd help me escape, Help me get away! Leave me outside my address, Far away from this masquerade'Cause I've been blind Oh, so blind I wasted time Wasted, wasted, all too much time Walkin' on the wire, high wire But I must let the show go.. I must let the show go.. I must let the show go on Notice that the band, being conducted from the rear by a goulish 'Billy Shakespearse slowly grinds down to a halt. This is similar to the "descent into madness" ending of Faul's "Anyway", or the speeding-up end of Harry Nilsson's "Gotta Get Up". The point is that Paul burned out and went into madness, which is probably why he's Mr. Bellamy in the mental institution in that Faul song. And why he's the "mad man across the water" in Elton John's song. But then he died....for a while. Of particular interest is the plea for "Baby" to help him escape in the third verse. Listen to the sobby interpretation by the singer here. I suspect that he arranged for Sylvie to help him escape from an imprisonment of some sort in France. The plan seems to have been that they would "run away" to an island and get married, and live in anonymity. There are so many songs that have been written about this (imo) that it's almost stunning. I've posted many of them here. The Doors "Not To Touch the Earth" is one of them.
That's really good Letter B!

Think of "monkeys" here in the same way as "dogs" - standby musicians who double, or fill in, for famous celebrity musicians."Bungle In The Jungle" (Jethro Tull) hear it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=THWgH85TyJQWalking through forests of palm tree apartments; scoff at the monkeys who live in their dark tents. Down by the waterhole --- drunk every Friday --- eating their nuts --- saving their raisins for Sunday. Lions and tigers who wait in the shadows --- they're fast but they're lazy, and sleep in green meadows. Let's bungle in the jungle --- well, that's all right by me. I'm a tiger when I want love, but I'm a snake if we disagree. Just say a word (of protest), and the boys will be right there: with claws at your back to send a chill through the night air. Is it so frightening to have me at your shoulder? Thunder and lightning couldn't be bolder. **I'll write on your tombstone, ``I thank you for dinner.'' This game that we animals play is a winner. Let's bungle in the jungle --- well, that's all right by me. I'm a tiger when I want love, but I'm a snake if we disagree. (addressed to "Mother Nature's Son": )The rivers are full of crocodile nasties, and He who made kittens, put snakes in the grass. He's a lover of life, but a player of pawns; yes, the King on His sunset lies waiting for dawn to light up His Jungleas play is resumed. The monkeys seem willing to strike up the tune. (The Monkees )--------------------------------------- This song appears to be sung from the perspective of someone who has the Beatles in his hands; possibly an Apple executive. This is not a particulary nice person, and is addressing his comments to Paul McCartney, telling him that he can be replaced. This may be who we think of as Faul, but it may not be. The was being put on Paul. He's being told he is but "a pawn" in the King's game. The King is the creator, metaphorically, but the fact that he's waiting for the sun to light up "His sunset" may be an allusion to Sunset Boulevard. In other words, an executive who Paul should consider respect as "god".** There are many musical references to lightning that seem to suggest that Paul McCartney was struck by lightning.

From the soundtrack to the movie "Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid", in which Bob Dylan played a role. BILLY 1(Bob Dylan) partial cover version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lLPLhkT54QThere's guns across the river aimin' at ya Lawman on your trail, he'd like to catch yaBounty hunters, too, they'd like to get ya Billy, they don't like you to be so free. Campin' out all night on the verenda Dealin' cards 'til dawn in the hacienda Up to Boot Hill they'd like to send ya Billy, don't you turn your back on me.Playin' around with some sweet senorita Into her dark hallway she will lead yaIn some lonesome shadows she will greet ya Billy, you're so far away from home. There's eyes behind the mirrors in empty places Bullet holes and scars between the spaces There's always one more notch and ten more paces Billy, and you're walkin' all alone. They say that Pat Garrett's got your number So sleep with one eye open when you slumber Every little sound just might be thunderThunder from the barrel of his gun. Guitars will play your grand finale Down in some Tularosa alley, Maybe in the Rio Pecos valley Billy, you're so far away from home. There's always some new stranger sneakin' glances Some trigger-happy fool willin' to take chances And some old whore from San Pedro to make advances Advances on your spirit and your soul. The businessmen from Taos want you to go down They've hired Pat Garrett to force a showdown. Billy, don't it make ya feel so low-down To be shot down by the man who was your friend?Hang on to your woman if you got one Remember in El Paso, once, you shot one. She may have been a whore, but she was a hot one Billy, you been runnin' for so long. Guitars will play your grand finale Down in some Tularosa alley Maybe in the Rio Pecos valley Billy, you're so far away from home. --------------------- Substitute "Paul" for everywhere it says "Billy" in this song, and you've got it. "Pat Garrett" is Faul. Dylan asks Paul not to turn his back on him.

There's also a BILLY 4 by Dylan, similar to the 1 above, that includes these lyrics:
"The businessmen from Taos want you to go down, So they've hired Mister Garrett; he'll force you to slow down. Billy, don't let it make you feel so low down To be hunted by the man who was your friend.
So hang on to your woman, if you got one Remember in El Paso once you shot one I'll be in Santa Fe about one Billy, you've been running for so long.
Gypsy queens will play your grand finale Way down in some Tularosa alley Maybe in La Rio Pecas valley Billy, you're so far away from home"
An encoded message to JPM, it would seem.

In Reply #56 I discussed the Neil Young song "Last Trip To Tulsa" which I feel is unmistakeably a PWR song. It is somewhat symbolic, but it includes these lyrics, which I never could quite fathom: "Well I woke up in the morning With an arrow through my nose There was an Indian in the corner Tryin' on my clothes."My feeling was it was just a way to indicate (along with many other lyrics of the song) that Paul was hiding out in the American mid-west and south-west. But then I saw the video for the Faul song "Arrow Through Me", www.youtube.com/watch?v=42IPlbC9H_Qand knowing that Faul also puts PID/PWR clues in his songs, I've had to wonder if there really was an episode where Paul McCartney was shot with an arrow. I guess I'll have to throw it in as a possibility. "Arrow Through Me" (Faul) Ooh, baby, you couldn't have done a worse thing to me If you'da taken an arrow and run it right through me. ooh. Ooh baby, a bird in the hand is worth two flyin' But when it came to love, I'd knew you'd be lyin'.
It could have been a finer thing, Would have been a major attraction With no other thing: offering a note of distraction. come on, get up, get under way, bring your love.
Ooh baby, you wouldn't have found a more down hero If you'da started at nothing and counted to zero.(repeat all verses)

Is the rest of this song a reference to said individual? rainy days - the wild and stormy night that the rain washed away mondays - stupid bloody tuesday, man, you've been a naughty boy; you let your face grow long

I remember the Carpenters recorded that song....sung by another tragic story..Karen Carpenter.
But regarding PID songs, and the idea of Paul going blind, someone else mentioned ELton John's Daniel...
.."your eyes have died but you see more than I"....
I have to wonder how much Elton knows about this....

I posted this some time ago in another thread. This seems to me that it could have been inspired by (and about) Paul. The scene recalls the nightclub scene in MMT, or the Rolling Stones song on 'Their satanic Majesties Request' called "On With the Show". I think the tale told may be about Paul. It would be after he'd left the Beatles, and therefore he'd have 'lost his crown', and his chance to be in the Beatles. He may have been hitting night clubs to occupy his time. The 'hot babe' in the song may have been someone like Sylvie Vartan; someone he tried to run off with. ("Run a mile.") He ran because she was the wife of 'the clown', and the clown didn't take too kindly to it. Ha! Ha! Said The Clown (Manfred Mann) see it/hear it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_bfAdp-Ae0 (Manfred Mann) www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWZocD3Mkpk (The Yardbirds) (Song starts with the Chorus: ) "Ha! ha!" said the clown, "Has the king lost his crown?" (left the Beatles, or lost his place in the band)"Is the night being tight on romance?" "Ha! ha!" said the clown; "Is it bringing you down, That you've lost your chance?" (he's mocked for what he's done by one who knows) (setting the stage:)Feeling low. Gotta go See a show in town. Hear the jokes, have a smoke, and a laugh at the clown. In a whirl, see a girl with a smile in her eyes. Never thought I'd be brought right down by her lies! Chorus In a trance, watch her dance to the beat of the drums. Faster now, sweating brow, I'm all the fingers and thumbs. Wonder why I hit the sky When she blows me a kiss! In a while: run a mile! I'm regretting all this! Chorus Time to go, close the show, Wave the people 'good-bye'. (He's performing at the show. He's well known.) Grab my coat, grab my hat, Look that girl in the eye. "Where's your home? What's your phone number? Stop fooling round!" Could have died; she replied, "I'm the wife of the clown." Chorus

He probably did play some. He was the guitarist on the studio version of Herman's Hermits "Can't You Hear my Heartbeat?", playing this riveting guitar solo you hear here from 1:30 to 1:43: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NslgtgmoztEalthough it's not him in this video. He wasn't one of the hermits at the time, just a studio musician.\ Here's my favorite by them, for what it's worth: No Milk Today: *www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzX88hTXJuYa clearer version: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2Pi36klgUEhere's the European version of Herman' Hermits, which was an offshoot of the original band, but without Herman (Peter Noone) in it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSwvwH23-zY&NR=1* (A reference to a time when there used to be "milk men" who would deliver bottles of milk to your house in the morning. If you didn't need milk, you'd leave a note in the mouth of an empty milk bottle saying so.) (Sheese! I feel older than dirt having to explain that. )Uh...can you tell I was a Herman's Hermits fan? OK...I'll confess. The first 45 rpm record I ever bought was "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat?" (Beatles Schmeatles!) (Yessiree. I knew from the start that Eric Clapton was going to be big! But seriously, it was the energy of that riff that got me! I tell ya, things were different back then. You had to do whatever they told you to make it big. Here's a little number from a band up JoJo's way: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qiKvRsTVOA ;D (That's eyesbleed in the plaid pants. )

Hooray! This has been Re-posted on YouTube as of yesterday, after being prohibited for ages. It is full of PID/PWR clues! Please download it NOW before it disappears again! American Dream CSN&Y www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABfsIInfXgU"American Dream" as a term meaning one of Paul's replacements first showed up in the Neil Young (Buffalo Springfield) song, "Broken Arrow", in this verse: "Eighteen years of American dream, He saw that his brother had sworn on the wall. (His "brother" Paul had sworn an oath of silence; no performing)He hung up his eyelids and ran down the hall, (made his eyes look like Paul's)His mother had told him a trip was a fall, And don't mention babies at all. Did you see him, did you see him? (etc.) The "Broken Arrow" song is a strange account of Beatledom being a "broken arrow"; a missing 'nuclear' weapon due to Paul's actions in leaving the group. As it turns out, if you look up the town "Broken Arrow" in Oklahoma, the town motto is: "Home of the American Dream". Oddly enough, there are some clues that Paul hid out in the American mid-west for a while. Faul's (Home in the) "Heart of the Country" is one. In the video above, the main focus is the dying of the "American Dream" in the conventional sense, however there is a focusing in on the musical side of things. The picture of Frank Sinatra that the pretty nurse uses as a table to get the autograph of the man in the wheel chair represents the music business in its heyday of the 1940s and 1950s, when it was a cash cow, and made many people rich. However it was also an industry that had ties to organized crime and may have funded some early black ops programs. I believe that the man in the wheel chair represents music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, when the music business was being used to promote drugs, and by definition, corrupted, while the nocturnal visit to the record industry mogol by a punk rocker represents the dissolution of the industry, with the punk guy representing the loss of control over the industry that had been so centralized in the past. From the orderly, but corrupt Sinatra days, to the wild and crazy punk state, terrifying the once comfortable, but corrupt, music execs. But remember, the "American Dream" also represents a person, whose face Neil saw smiling on every TV screen, and who hung up his eyebrows and ran down the hall. What recording "giant" had acquired tons of money in the "old" system. Whose autograph might the young nurse want? The reporters trying to uncover rumors of corruption at the "American Dreams's" house while the staff desperately tries to hide and destroy the evidence. (The evidence that Paul was replaced, perhaps, among other things.) The thug shoots at the reporters, while the man in the wheel chair gets pushed down the stairs. True, by the time he lands at the bottom of the stairs it's a motorcycle, and the guy is an "Easy Rider" guy, representing the line in the song about things went wrong when "you were young and strong", as if to suggest that's about the time the American Dream started being destroyed by the Reagans and Bushes, and NWO power poseurs, or, in terms of time, about 1970. But things also started going wrong for JPM when he was "young and strong", possibly resulting in his being in a wheel chair, while another "Paul", the "American Dream" took over the role, and basically discarded the old Paul (symbolized by the man in the wheel chair being pushed down the stairs). The images of Jimmy Swaggert, the evangelist, crying, being watched by "wheel chair" Paul (he one holy roller) while businessman Paul are notable. So the video equates spiritual Paul being replaced by the greedy Faul, and things going down hill, with the compassionate presidents being replaced by the greedy, corrupt and power-mad ones. A person, a nation, a common condition: that of being hijacked by criminals.

It's worth noting the drug references in the video discussed above. Money is being "laundered" in the washing machine. Near the fellow being hidden in the star's house, the one in the wheel chair, we see a table with chemistry materials, as if to suggest he was involved with drugs, as does the snow globe, "snow" being cocaine. The suggestion here is that the man in the wheel chair, being hidden from the public, is involved with drugs, possibly using them to excess, but possibly being drugged as well. The star and his wife are presumably elsewhere in the house, while the nurse and a money manager are essentially "running the show". What we have here is the "house of Faul", hiding the real Paul and keeping him doped up. This somewhat parallels the idea of Paul being housed in mental institutions, as expressed in the Faul song "Mr. Bellamy" and the other 'descent into madness' clues in other songs. Paul being effectually dead, even if he wasn't truly dead, because he was being restrained through drugging, and being 'imprisoned' in the 'house of Faul'. This is a very significant clue. However I feel that ultimately Faul came around. He "used to be bad", but remember: he was being controlled in the beginning as well.

...anyone ever considered piano man by billy joel?
It's nine o'clock on a Saturday (reminds me of friday morning @ 9 oclock on "she's leaving home") The regular crowd shuffles in There's an old man sitting next to me Makin' love to his tonic and gin
He says, "Son, can you play me a memory I'm not really sure how it goes But it's sad and it's sweet and I knew it complete When I wore a younger man's clothes."
la la la, di da da La la, di di da da dum
Chorus: Sing us a song, you're the piano man Sing us a song tonight Well, we're all in the mood for a melody And you've got us all feelin' alright
Now John at the bar is a friend of mine He gets me my drinks for free And he's quick with a joke and he'll light up your smoke (due to john's wit) But there's some place that he'd rather be He says, "Bill, I believe this is killing me." As the smile ran away from his face (living the PID lie..) "Well I'm sure that I could be a movie star If I could get out of this place" (if this was bill's dialogue, possible meaning is that he was a great actor..i.e. he played the role of macca)
Oh, la la la, di da da La la, di da da da dum
Now Paul is a real estate novelist (like a paperback writer?) Who never had time for a wife (b/c he was killed in that car crash..) And he's talkin' with Davy, who's still in the Navy And probably will be for life
And the waitress is practicing politics As the businessman slowly gets stoned Yes, they're sharing a drink they call loneliness But it's better than drinkin' alone
Chorus sing us a song you're the piano man sing us a song tonight well we're all in the mood for a melody and you got us all feeling alright
It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday And the manager gives me a smile 'Cause he knows that it's me they've been comin' to see To forget about life for a while And the piano, it sounds like a carnival And the microphone smells like a beer And they sit at the bar and put bread in my jar And say, "Man, what are you doin' here?"
Oh, la la la, di da da La la, di da da da dum
Chorus: sing us a song you're the piano man sing us a song tonight well we're all in the mood for a melody and you got us all feeling alright
yup, so pretty much only the beginning of that song seems to be PID/PWR related. any more suggestions or hidden meanings would be a lovely addition!

Getbackzack, and Iameye, This song was already brought up at the Revolution 9 website *, so you're not the first to notice it. You're in the ball park with the first two lines: Now Paul is a real estate novelist (like a paperback writer?) (a historical novelist like Shakespeare)Who never had time for a wife (b/c he was [alledgedly] killed in that car crash..)but what about the rest of it? And he's talkin' with Davy, who's still in the Navy ("Davy Jones", the drowned saior, with his "locker" at sea bottom.)And probably will be for life. ("Davy Jones" is "in the navy" 'for life'.) (More below ) So Paul's alledgedly "dead" body has been thrown into the ocean where he can talk to "Davy Jones", another dead man. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Jones'_Locker But who, really, is "Davy Jones"? There are two I know of: A Monkee, and David Bowie! And a third: Faul, who represents the "dead man" Paul. This might be clearer in the context of the song: PIANO MAN (the real Paul, imo; not really Billy Joel)(Billy Joel) see it/hear it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ1_M_L_RSIIt's nine o'clock on a Saturday; The regular crowd shuffles in. (Studio musicians and technicians)There's an old man sitting next to me, (George Martin)Making love to his tonic and gin. He says, "Son, can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes, But it's sad, and it's sweet, and I knew it complete, When I wore a younger mans clothes!" (this actually goes too deep to comment on)La la la, de de da La la, de de da da da Chorus: Sing us a song, you're the piano man; Sing us a song tonight. Well, we're all in the mood for a melody, And you've got us feelin' all right. Now John at the bar is a friend of mine; He gets me my drinks for free. And he's quick with a joke, or to light up your smoke, But there's some place that he'd rather be. He says, " Bill, I believe this is killing me!" (Billy Joel, but also 'Bill I' aka Paul "Shakespeare" McCartney; not Faul)As the smile ran away from his face, "Well I'm sure that I could be a movie star, (John was in a movie.)If I could get out of this place." (the recording studio)Oh, la la la, de de da La la, de de da da da Now Paul is a real estate novelist (the paperback Beatles writer Billy Shears/the piano man, Paul himself)Who never had time for a wife, And he's talkin' with Davy who's still in the navy (Paul talks with "Davy Jones", the 'dead' version of himself: Faul)And probably will be for life. (Davy (Faul) will secretly be in Her Majesty's service, acting as Paul, for life.)And the waitress is practicing politics, As the businessmen slowly get stoned. (record company execs)Yes, they're sharing a drink they call 'loneliness', But it's better than drinking alone. Chorus It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday, And the manager gives me a smile, (probably George Martin)'cause he knows that it's me they've been coming to see (the real JPM)To forget about life for a while. And the piano, it sounds like a carnival, And the microphone smells like a beer, And they sit at the bar, and put bread in my jar, And say, "Man, what are you doing here?!" (They're amazed to see the 'dead' McCartney in the studio.)Oh, la la la, de de da La la, de de da da da Chorus Many messages being sent here, imo. Probably more than we've mentioned. Who is the waitress? There's even more, possibly. "It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday" Remember days of the week as code names for people? "Will you come see me, Tuesdays and Saturdays?" in 'Suite Judy Blue Eyes' by Crosby Stills Nash and Young. A plea for Paul and Faul to come see them, perhaps. So then, "It's a pretty good crowd for a Saturday" meaning: "Hey, Faul's drawing a pretty good crowd!"(at one of his concerts) And then: "Paul! What are you doing here?!"* 1966.proboards40.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1150488249

I haven't had time to analyze this one, but I'm pretty certain it relates. (Watch the video!) ;D Arnold Layne ( Pink Floyd) by all means see it!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhEvf9mSmSg (posted today!)Arnold Layne had a strange hobby Collecting clothes Moonshine washing line They suit him fine On the wall hung a tall mirror Distorted view, see through baby blue He dug it Oh, Arnold Layne It's not the same, takes two to know Two to know, two to know, two to know Why can't you see?Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne Now he's caught - a nasty sort of person. They gave him time Doors bang - chain gang - he hates it Oh, Arnold Layne It's not the same, takes two to know two to know, two to know, two to know, Why can't you see?Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne, Arnold Layne Don't do it again. -------------------------- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Layne"Arnold Layne" was the first single released by British Psychedelic rock group Pink Floyd, shortly after landing a recording contract with EMI. The song was written by Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd's co-founder and original front man. Although not included on the band's debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, some consider "Arnold Layne" to be one of the finest psychedelic pop songs of its time...
The song's title character is a transvestite whose primary pastime is stealing women's clothes and undergarments from washing lines. According to Roger Waters, "Arnold Layne" was actually based on a real person, and that this person routinely stole underwear from the mothers of Barrett and Waters during their childhood days in Cambridge...
...A black and white promotional film of "Arnold Layne" was made the same year, and featured members of Pink Floyd dressing up a mannequin before showing it around a beach. Recently, an alternative promotional film was unearthed, which featured the young Floyd goofing around in a forest and in front of a church. It is also the only known footage of Syd Barrett lip synching to the song."

The following is pure conjecture: Somebody to Love is track #2 on Jefferson Airplane's Surrealistic Pillow. The album was recorded October 31-Nov 22, 1966, and released February 1967. On Sgt Pepper, track #2 is WALHFMF, Wherein Ringo, aka Billy Shears, sings, "somebody to love" over and over and over. Might this be a nod to the Airplane? Same track number, same lyric? The Airplane album also includes the track White Rabbit. Perhaps the lyrical content of these Airplane songs happened to fit so well with the upcoming plans for Pepper that the line "somebody to love" was woven into WALHFMF in hopes of people making a connection. The Airplane song was in AM radio rotation by the time WALHFMF was recorded, (March 29-30, 1967), so The Beatles must have known that the phrase was already "used up" by the Airplane's hit song, and would thus be recognized by Pepper listeners. Somebody To Love by Darby Slick When the truth is found to be lies and all the joy within you dies don't you want somebody to love don't you need somebody to love wouldn't you love somebody to love you better find somebody to love When the garden flowers baby are dead yes and your mind [, your mind] is [so] full of red don't you want somebody to love don't you need somebody to love wouldn't you love somebody to love you better find somebody to love your eyes, I say your eyes may look like his [yeah] but in your head baby I'm afraid you don't know where it is don't you want somebody to love don't you need somebody to love wouldn't you love somebody to love you better find somebody to love tears are running [ahhh,]running down your breast and your friends baby they treat you like a guest. don't you want somebody to love don't you need somebody to love wouldn't you love somebody to love you better find somebody to love WHITE RABBIT by Grace Slick White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane One pill makes you larger And one pill makes you small And the ones that mother gives you Don't do anything at all Go ask Alice When she's ten feet tall And if you go chasing rabbits And you know you're going to fall Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar Has given you the call Recall Alice When she was just small When men on the chessboard Get up and tell you where to go And you've just had some kind of mushroom And your mind is moving low Go ask Alice I think she'll know When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's "off with her head!" Remember what the door knob said: "Feed you head!" Now consider the cover of Surrealistic Pillow: A band in front of an artsy wall holding instruments that are different from the ones they normally play. The band name is printed on a drum head. And there is Paul Kantner holding the scroll of his violin over his eye. It makes me think of those pictures that evilsvesillives posted, where all the people's eyes line up around certain focal points on the Pepper cover. -j
