I had read somewhere that the true identity of Jack the Ripper was known to Scotland Yard, but that the person was nobility (protected by a silver spoon), and so they didn't dare arrest him/them. I don't know if that is true, but with all the 'talk' about the Zodiak killer in the Iamaphoney videos of late, I wondered if there might be a similar situation. For example, what if the Zodiak killer turned out to be James Paul McCartney? Do you think that would ever make the papers? I doubt it. Here are some wiki articles about Jack. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TVooUHN7j4Oops! Wrong address. ;D Jack the Ripper: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack-the-RipperDid you notice this? (The name at the top of the magazine) Jack the Ripper Suspects: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_the_Ripper_suspectsAmong the suspects: "Lewis Carroll[/b] Lewis Carroll (pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, 27 January 1832–14 January 1898), author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass; named as a suspect based upon anagrams author Richard Wallace devised for his book 'Jack the Ripper, Light-Hearted Friend', which is not generally taken seriously by other scholars. "I strongly suspect there is a karmic link between the Jack the Ripper murders and the Zodiak's. Perhaps the original people have reincarnated for another round of murder and mayhem. Also notable in the article above: "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and William Stewart advanced theories involving a female murderer dubbed " Jill the Ripper." Supporters of this theory believe that the murderer worked, or posed, as a midwife. She could be seen with bloody clothes without attracting unwanted attention and suspicion and would be more easily trusted by the victims than a man. A suspect suggested as fitting this profile is Mary Pearcey, who in October 1890, killed her lover's wife and child, though there is no indication she was ever a midwife. E. J. Wagner, in The Science of Sherlock Holmes, offers in passing another possible suspect, Constance Kent, who had served 20 years for the murder of her younger brother at the age of sixteen. There are also several theories suggesting that "Jack the Ripper" was actually more than one killer..... "As there are with the Zodiac killer: www.zodiacmurders.com/ch9_envelope.html(Please read through all the links on this site.)Who is the person in the center of this Klaus Voorman painting about the Beatles? Perhaps if someone can find out that information, we'd be "well on the way, our heads in the clouds"! It may well be Klaus Voorman himself. Perhaps IAAP is a son or cousin. Unforgettable George Harrison "Interview Klaus Voormann" www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYR5u56jsnAMore about Voorman: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_VoormannCheck out the 'picture of the day' here: www.klaus-voormann.com/

Not on the same theme as you LetterB... this doesn't relate directly to anything Beatlesque, but you may find it of interest....re: Jack The Ripper. Your 'Puck' picture really set me off. Yes....humanity's psychological reaction to serial ritualised murder. It (serial ritualised murder) works just as well now as it did back then. It's difficult to explain but Stephen Knight (his pen name).....in his work with Sickert's son... probably gave us the best explanation of this in his book 'Jack The Ripper, the Final Solution.' circa 1974. Interesting that 'Puck' turns up....because it is a 'Puckish' sense of fun that accompanies these types of ritualised murders. The JTR murders seem to have created the mold that would apply to all future serialised murders.....the 'lone nut' etc etc...and one which establishes the necessary 'awe' in the minds of the masses. This factors right into 'The revelation of the method, making manifest all that is hidden' doctrine that I'm always going on about!!!! Not that I agree entirely with Knight and his opinion of 'Freemasonry' as an all conquering 'devil worshipping' force etc etc.... It is his comments on methodology that are all important...imo. According to Knight...it was Sickert's son, who by accident...revealed the details of his Father's involvement with the said affair. (which led to the Duke of Clarence and Annie Crook story being born, Knight was apparently able to confirm her death in a mental institution...she had been lobotomised). Apparently Sickert's son thought nothing would come of his revelations because it was so many years ago and no-one would be interested etc, so he was quite candid according to Knight....how wrong could Sickert's son be? Knight died at age 33 not long after his expose of Freemasonry -'The Brotherhood'....a brain tumour I think it was. I can't help think (well a part of me does...esp in recent years) that Knight himself could have been a part of what is known as 'masonic apoplexy'....reveal revelations and then fall on your sword type of thing....he is buried in Argyll. His (Knight) 'Sickert' revelations....have in recent years, been poorly debunked by the writer Patricia Cornwell...probably a distraction or deliberate obfuscation. In fact the book was so 'ham-fisted' in its treatment of Sickert that it leads one to assume that this was commissioned as a deliberate cul-de-sac...to counter Knight's assertions, who knows? In fact many of Walter Sickert's paintings seem to reflect something of the Whitechapel murders....there is a definite essence in his work. That aside....the 'masonic' overtones are relatively obvious within this crime. From the ritual executions/disembowlment to Sir Charles Warren Commissioner of Police and member of the Ars Quator Coronatorum Masonic Lodge....it was Warren who in 1867 on a quest for this lodge.... founded a series of tunnels under Temple Mount. Sir Charles Warren More from Hoffman...

I bought both the Freemason expose and Ripper books, but the Ripper one is drawing me in.. The paintings you posted are in your face, but the book also states that he painted "cryptic references into his paintings of the truth behind the Ripper murders". This is amazing: books.guardian.co.uk/news/articles/0,,615448,00.html Or: tinyurl.com/3f8vepThe American crime novelist Patricia Cornwell was last night accused of "monstrous stupidity" for ripping up a canvas to prove that the Victorian painter Walter Sickert was Jack the Ripper.
Even in the context of the crackpot conspiracy theories, elaborate frauds and career-destroying obsessions that London's most grisly whodunnit has spawned, Cornwell's investigation is extreme. Not only did she have one canvas cut up in the vain hope of finding a clue to link Sickert to the murder and mutilation of five prostitutes, she spent £2m buying up 31 more of his paintings, some of his letters and even his writing desk. Obsessed? Or trying to take certain items out of circulation?

The nitty gritty seems to be.. When a young royal sows his wild oats and produces something that might be a bit embarrassing and/or cause serious political issues, you call in your friends with the square and compass..

good work JoJo.
That Cornwell eh....on a retainer?
I'm sure she asserts that Sickert either had a very deformed or virtually non-existant 'manhood'...as a basis for her theory.
was that a masonic 'in-joke' referring to the body of Osiris and his missing 'manhood'....that Isis couldn't find???
Although...i'm a bit disappointed that no one has picked up on the 'group mind psychology' aspect of serial murder...which is oh so crucial in carrying out these crimes effectively.
all imho of course.

I found the Zodiac movie in the bargain bin for $10, so I picked it up. I haven't watched it, but the cover shows a bridge's truss with three cross rungs, resembling the three rung Masonic ladder.

2007 ZODIAC from the director of SE7EN and Panic Room..."based on the true stroy of the notorius serial killer and the intense manhunt he inspired. ...Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr.,...is a searing and singularly haunting examination of twin obessions: one man's desire to kill and another's quest for truth."

I saw that Zodiac film the other night....it was appalling to be honest, very little tension and suspense....just as well I paid only 1 pence (about 1/2 cent) to see it...it was like watching a 'made for teevee' movie.
The only crucial part....imo.....was right at the very start of the movie. (I may as well have turned off the movie at this point....tbh)
A couple wait in a car.....a black mustang pulls up mysteriously close to their vehicle and waits for 20 or so seconds...then it quickly leaves the scene (there is no explanation)....literally 20 seconds or less later another car (a different car) pulls up behind the couples car and the driver then is seen to shoot the couple.
This obviously raises the possibilty that the 'lone nut' killer idea could be a sham....(the mustang could've been a spotter car prior to the hit, who knows...its not for me to say) naturally the rest of the movie spends all its time tracking this 'lone nut' killer.
So why bother even including this scene with the unexplained black mustang....what was the purpose....directorial sleight of hand, much like Fincher did at the end of Fight Club?
answers on a postcard please....usual address.
One man's desire to kill.....a somewhat loaded claim?
And they were certain it was 'one man'... based on what exactly?

$10 bucks is no bargain but I always think that the zodiac and the Son of Sam murders are related for some reason. indeed...and that aside....I'd not be surprised if some of the 'Zodiac' hits were filmed for entertainment purposes, just like some of the 'Sam' hits were.
Author Maury Terry (The Ultimate Evil)....apparently (at least according to one researcher who had dealings with him) has been implicated in attempting to trade 'snuff film' of the Son of Sam murders....this was, according to this particular researcher (Michael A Hoffman)... an attempted exchange/trade for the Lake & Ng tapes.
Interestingly....Terry, who wrote the weighty 'Ultimate Evil' all about the Son of Sam murders and the cult activity that surrounds it....never really revealed the fact that the Carr brothers John & Michael (Sons of Sam Carr who was a neighbour of Berkowitz....the brothers were both closely connected to the case and both were dead within 2 years of Berkowitz's arrest.) attended the same school that he did and that he knew them...that is a surprising/disturbing fact.
hmmmm.

BTK is another one of those "letter" cases. I have probably watched hundreds of episodes of crime shows and that is the only one that I found uninteresting because it just rings phony to me. Green River, Jeffrey Dahmer, Bundy, all ring like true killers/incidents. BTK just seems like some cover story or made up story.

The first crime....the murder of a family was a different M.O....to the others....virtually an entire family was taken out 'swat' style.
The father was ex-intel and a former commando and he had claimed that he thought he was targetted for a hit prior to the event, so much so.... that he told another son of his and this son is the only survivor. (this son was secreted elsewhere)
The wife was a Judo instructor apparently.
So just how does one man overpower this family....with an ex commando father and a Judo instructor mother...plus the children?
The surviving son...doesn't buy the BTK hokum....either.
That info is from Dave McGowan.

From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac_killer:"At 2 a.m. on October 22, 1969, someone claiming to be the Zodiac called Oakland PD demanding that one of two prominent lawyers, F. Lee Bailey or Melvin Belli, appear on Jim Dunbar's television talk show in the morning. Bailey was not available, but Belli appeared on the show." What could have kept F. Lee Bailey from getting involved in the Zodiac case? Well, not a month later (Thanksgiving weekend of 1969), he was cross-examining witnesses on national television to find out whether or not Paul McCartney had really died. ludix.com/moriarty/paul.html
