where are those Alice figurines from? Paul's garden? unless they took them to africa? That is odd.. I've never seen or known of any pics of those statues existing in the public domain other than the sleeve of the "Ballad of John and Yoko" 45. (I think that's the one) I also know someone who really sought out a picture of Paul's Alice statues, a serious researcher who had no luck. Weird.. Hmm, I would guess this is from Mal Evan's footage, the version that was supposedly uncut and was selling on Ebay for a while. I never picked it up, seemed a bit expensive.

I'm not sayin' either way, about the statues if authenic or not. they look a little cheesey to be of worth, scale wise. But didn't he have something Alice +- an observatory at Cavendish?

why so, Jo? why the interest from Mr MIT? Well.. Best I can discern from his Usenet posts, his theory is that the White Album was created as an "Alice" album, each song written in India was intended to be Alice in Wonderland themed in one way or another. He claimed to know an insider or two who confirmed same. I guess he's saying their intention was to make it clearly as such, but dropped the idea. However, if this is so, the songs still may still have a loose connection anyway, just that they lost the will to tie it all together. He claims that Donovan made an album soon after the India experience with Alice themed songs, not sure which one he means. I know one thing for sure, Paul and Donovan improvised a little "Walrus and the Carpenter".. Why his particular interest in the statues? I guess he believes this was the beginning of the idea, he's trying to piece it all together and hopes the statues will help somehow. I dunno, never mind the WA, how about Pepper?

I'm not sayin' either way, about the statues if authentic or not. they look a little cheesey to be of worth, scale wise. But didn't he have something Alice +- an observatory at Cavendish? I take that back, the scale of the garden statues would seem accurate, and very possibly authentic JPM Alice statues. Maybe. George's version: trying to fit in with the gnomes...... where/what is this place? looks loke a tower of Babylon type rock...... more stones in a cemetary

I don't know about an observatory.. would be not such a good idea with all the light pollution, not saying that would stop him if he decided he wanted it anyway.. He had a greenhouse/planetarium/solarium, apparently www.spookshows.com/beatles/london/cavendish.htm

A few interesting images in this one...one particularly creepy picture of Bill with shadows giving the impression of eyeliner. Still not sure what exactly the director is trying to get with either of these though. Other then the PID/PWR thing, both are more vague in comparison to most of IAAP's.
