Hiya, i've noticed that.. ever since the RA forum has been put at the lowest of the lowest of this forum, and a password protection... that nobody really takes interest or takes the time to post in there anymore. including me. I instantly felt unwanted here, and it ruined my 'appetite' to write, and I'm pretty sure that happened to more people. I hope that with the new documents released by them, that this can be made undone, and that you see that iamaphoney IS significant. there is absolutely NO discussion anymore about the videos... and there is still so much to discover. PS; JoJo, i know you try to do everything to protect the forum, but the RA is about PID after all... and i hope that those awefull long arguments can be removed if they ever happen again, but i don't think that it will. M.

Perhaps this would be a good time for iaap to actually say something for a change. Hint Hint

I am disappointed by the amount that activity has dropped off since this was given a password, yet I certainly wouldn't want all those petty arguments and squabbles to re-ignite so that leaves us in a bit of a quandry I guess, perhaps a straw poll may lead us to the answer, who knows...?

Ok, and what if we would put a password on the clues section too, because really, i don't want it to "interfere" with the rest. (that's was stated as reason for why the the rotten apple got a password ect.. ect...) Those moron discussions are over, and you know it. you just have hate-feelings towards the rotten apple series. and i see that from the amount of sarcasm you're posting in some of the topics. just like the sentence: discussion was halted by the mods for good reason......I am in full support of that decision I accept your topics too, i don't complain about it, you are not being forced to read topics, neither are we.... but please let us be on this forum, just like your topics. M.

I am in full support of that decision i interpret that, including the emoticon: yep, good thing that it happened, and i'm very happy with it! and also once when you blurted out random stuff... aaarrgghh bleh.

Has anyone noticed that this section doesn't have the password gateway anymore? OK, so I felt a little sorry for this section, and it was calmer almost to the point of being dead (true enough) so I opened it up again a few days ago.
Ah no, it's really about Mr. IAAP at this point.. IMO.. When he first posted his first video in "clues", it was like he was taking the material (clues) from a few posts here and giving them motion, but now.. it's a whole different ballgame. Arguments have gone back and forth, but the location of this section doesn't belong in clues, that's for observations made from material left behind by the Beatles, together and solo, not the IAAP bias/point of view. Leaving it there so long was a mistake..
Two different issues here, one was the password protection.. That was due to the pages upon pages of drama that most here didn't wish to be subjected to. That is over, and hopefully won't be back. The move in location was about it not being in the correct place.
Now.. IAAP hasn't made a video in some time, Mike has picked up the slack, but the lack of interest probably has a lot to do with his flagging output, don't you think? And hey, Taf's blog is doing a good job, the latest events should pique any IAAP fan's interest, no?

I think the removal of the password obstacle is an excellent solution. That should be enough to increase the traffic. The location may serve as a reminder for people to be civil. I am all for trying it this way for a while.

At best the RA stuff should be in the "off topic" section, if on this board at all.

We've been so beseiged by rotten-apple wannabes that it's been a little hard to focus. I don't know who iamaphoney is, but I'm not about to write him off yet; not at all.

It's a compromise.. The problem with them is that both sides are left somewhat dissatisfied, but hopefully with a situation they can come to live with. I'm all about compromising when it's possible.. sorry but that's just me. Also NIR endeavors to be a public service plus the home base for all things PID/PWR/esoteric Beatle ideas. That means it comes to be a community as much as a place for serious discussion.. Which I know annoys the serious discussion only crowd.. but, it's what makes it more of an enjoyable experience IMO.

We're lucky in that there is such a diverse, interesting, even eclectic bunch of minds posting here. It's the mix with all the inherent tussles, wars (as long as they stay polite), parties, serendipitous moments, laughs, tears, occasional bursts of insight, and daily pursuit of all things Beatles that make it a fun clubhouse. We can't change the world or rewrite history (*gasp*), but we can take a look at it, share, and keep it friendly. Thank you Jojo for giving us all a great big sandbox. Not the kind the cats poop in, but the kind that clever and polite innocents build castles and sandmen in.

Okay... not sure why the Rotten Apple series is causing problems. To be honest, I rather enjoy it.
Mike, be happy, you have 55 members on your board already. The Doppelganger forum has been around for longer and we have only 11 members.

Not sure what the prob is, LoL. You have your own forum. I think the real problem is that the story became so ridiculous, that when the suitcase contents and that lame video were released, most spectators lost interest(including myself). You've failed to recognize that the problem isn't a position on this board or a password entry. The problem is that the script sucked, LoL. Tell him to hire some professional writers next time.
As for your board, I'll go ahead and say it, its a huge failure! Of coarse I'm going off the standard that many consider TKIN dead in the water, yet it has 10X the activity.(350+ guests daily).
Listen, the bottom line is that you and phoney are by no means bigger that PID/PWR. I guess you've figured that out though.
So play by the rules everybody else does and don't cry over the consequences if you don't.
BTW the reason I'm not chiming in so often is that my laptop took a dump a week out of warranty. I paid $1100 for it a little over a year and now I'm lookin @ a new $350-500 motherboard. I use it for entertainment purposes only so I don't need it and I'm too pissed to pay for the repair right now. So my neighbor lets me borrow hers once in a while. It sucks though cause its a mess and a real pain to use. Hopefully I'll be back soon pushing the limit of JoJo's patience and doin alot of pissing in -j's Wheaties, cause thats what i enjoy doin.

Yeah who are those guests at TKIN, I've never seen a forum with so little member activity with so many lurkers.. The ratio is way off, a mystery I guess.
About the RA forum, it takes time to develop a following, declaring it down for the count at this early date is a bit premature. The only concern is the narrow focus, a risky proposition. For example, Taf is wise to expand beyond discussing IAAP, (while still being right on the scene with breaking news on IAAP material) makes the blog something I want to follow.
