www.nme.com/news/the-beatles/39711Sir Paul McCartney slams John Lennon 'gay' claims Former Beatle says there's no truth in new book allegation Sep 15, 2008 Sir Paul McCartney has slammed a new book in which author Philip Norman claims that John Lennon wanted a gay relationship with his Beatles bandmate. McCartney told The Sun that the claim was untrue and that, despite the fact that he shared a bed with him many times, he only ever saw Lennon get romantic with females. "I don't think [the gay claims] are true," he said. John never ever tried anything [on with me], I slept with him a million times. "I've seen him on tour roaring drunk, out of his mind in the early days before he sobered up and went to rehab. Roaring drunk and it was always with a female, never once [with a man]. "If you've got a little gay tendency and you're roaring drunk, I'd have caught him once."

A salacious new book alleges John Lennon had sexual fantasies about his mother and Beatle bandmate Paul McCartney. Philip Norman, author of "John Lennon: The Life," even claims to have audio recordings to back him up. "I was just remembering the time I had my hand on my mother's t - - in No. 1 Bloomfield Road [in Liverpool]," says a voice purported to be Lennon's from a 1979 interview. Lennon was raised primarily by his maternal aunt but had regular contact with mother, Julia Lennon, as a teenager. "We were lying on the bed, and I was thinking, 'I wonder if I should do anything else' . . . I always think that I should have done it - presuming she would have allowed it." McCartney dismissed Norman's assertions that Lennon had gay leanings. "John never, ever tried anything," McCartney said. "I slept with him a million times." (The quote about his mother is old news. So doeth I ! Especially since it has been rumored that HE has shared a bed with other men ( & not in a platonic fashion either). David Bowie & Mick Jagger immediately come to mind. Angie Bowie blew the whistle on THAT one ! ;D

Rumoured, speculated, yeah, yeah, yeah... It's amazing how much the name of The Beatles is still worth in commercial terms.
I just wish I could think of something original to sell books/make unadulterated amounts of money.

Well, I read the book "Angie". I found that information in that book. It's been awhile since I read it. I do know that she walked in on her husband in bed with Mick Jagger. I'm pretty sure that she mentioned "Paul" too, but I can't find it now. ARGH !!!!

Angie lyrics
(Jagger-Richards, 1973) Angie, Angie When will those clouds all disappear? Angie, Angie Where will it lead us from here? With no loving in our souls And no money in our coats You can't say we're satisfied But Angie, Angie You can't say we never tried Angie, You're beautiful But ain't it time we said goodbye Angie, I still love you Remember all those nights we cried? All the dreams we held so close Seemed to all go up in smoke Let me whisper in your ear Angie, Angie Where will it lead us from here? Angie, don't weep All your kisses still taste sweet I hate that sadness in your eyes But Angie, Angie Ain't it time we said goodbye? With no loving in our souls And no money in our coats You can't say we're satisfied But Angie, I still love you, baby Everywhere I look I see your eyes There ain't a woman that comes close to you Come on baby dry your eyes But Angie, Angie Ain't it good to be alive? Angie, Angie They can say we never triedWell, I read the book "Angie". I found that information in that book. It's been awhile since I read it.
