The skull cap was highlighted on 60 Minutes tonight. It was amazing. One completely paralysed woman had a computer chip implanted in her brain. She controls the computer with her thoughts. The segment had her select a song on her computer. She chose the song "Another Day" by Bill. This discovery and invention will be used for good and bad just like all powerful devices. This fascinating innovation is in it's infancy, the limits unknown. www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/10/31/60minutes/main4560940.shtml

Yeah, I tuned in just a minute before she chose Another Day.. Since it's hardly that, it's ironic I suppose. The thinking cap is just another tool when you boil it down IMO.

My idea of the use of the cap is purely in a creative sense and may be a long time off. Never say never. It would be wonderful to don my cap and write an entire piece of music instantly from my thoughts and how I hear it in my mind's eye.
Then again, intelligent agencies would use it to coheres information out of the unwilling or even to program people's thoughts for ill will.
This tool does is a breakthrough for those who can not move or speak but applications in the distant future, again, will be used for both the evil and the good.
Then again, this may be the end of it as it is but it is highly doubtful knowing mankind.
