A tiny garden gnome that appeared on the cover of the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's album and was signed by all four band member has sold for £29,000. The cardboard gnome featured alongside a host of celebrities and historic figures including actress Diana Dors, singer Bob Dylan and actor Marlon Brando on the psychedelic cover of the ground-breaking 1967 album. In total more than 60 celebrities appear on the famous cover including the Fab Four themselves - but because it would have been impossible to get all of them in a room together, waxworks and cardboard cutouts were used instead. In March 2009 we get the brilliant 'Jarface' interpetation of the Sgt Pepper cover (page 2 of this thread) Let's compare that with the Memoirs of Billy Shears which appeared a few months later (on 9.9.09): That's all exactly the same as 'Jarface'. But NB 'Billy Shears' does not point out the all-important right angle, made between the 'Shirley Temple' line and the line of Faul's Cor anglais, which goes through the centre of the drumskin. That suggests that the author of the Memoirs of Billy Shears did not copy from this website! Cor anglais = English heart. It then continues, that the red slippers of the Shirley Temple doll emphasise the blood dripping from her clothes, and of the bloody driving glove and this theme connects with the wizard of Oz story. A straight line though Faul’s heart connects these to W.C.Fields, who was the original actor in the 1939 version of the classic film (on the top row with a yellow hat) - This line is not given in Jarface's analysis. Then: On the lap of this ‘bleeding doll’ we see a white car, said to be Paul’s white Aston-Martin he crashed in. A line from that goes to Oscar Wilde: wild car, get it? This line is given by Jarface. The Memoirs says that to see these connections, two books are required: Lewis Carroll Through the Looking glass, and Edgar Allen Poe's The Gold Bug. We get both of these from Jarface on Page 1 of this thread - The Gold Bug in his very first post! what about the Grenadier Guards badge that Paul wears on his Sgt. Pepper costume, right near his heart? The Grenadier Guards were the official "Paul" Bearers to the dead monarchs. The backside contains the royal cypher (cipher). This IMO is the key to the whole puzzle. The official cipher to the sgt. pepper code. It also has seventeen "flames" coming out of it.... seventeen lines of reference?

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band: Keith Richards Calls The Beatles Album 'Rubbish' The ESQ&A: Keith Richards Explains Why Sgt. Pepper Was RubbishThe legendary Rolling Stones guitarist also talks about his new solo album, Crosseyed Heart, and riffs on stamina, image, the blues, the road, and working. www.esquire.com/entertainment/music/interviews/a36899/keith-richards-interview-0915/"...the Beatles sounded great when they were the Beatles. But there's not a lot of roots in that music. I think they got carried away. Why not? If you're the Beatles in the '60s, you just get carried away—you forget what it is you wanted to do. You're starting to do Sgt. Pepper. Some people think it's a genius album, but I think it's a mishmash of rubbish, kind of like Satanic Majesties—'Oh, if you can make a load of shit, so can we.'" see also: www.rollingstone.com/music/news/keith-richards-the-beatles-sgt-peppers-was-rubbish-20150805

The sophistication of the Beatles' work clearly suggests that they were part of something elaborately planned and executed, imo; an act too complex to be just a whimsical success. But I would never think of Sgt. Pepper as "an Illuminati masterpiece", any more than I would call it "a Mafia success". What is in the music is what matters. look for the girl with the light in her eyes an Illuminati masterpiece, elaborately planned and executed The plan worked, obviously.

I've looked through a good portion of this thread. Fascinating especially for artists. Which brings up the question- was the cover artist inspired by the songs or did the cover itself inspire the songs? It seems like the former to me, based on the release dates.
The pic of Jayne Mansfield above reminds me of the rumor of her decapitation very close to the release date of the album. One line I haven't forgotten from the time I saw it 47 years ago is the horizontal line that runs through the old Paul's neck, the new Paul's e-Paul-lettes and Jayne Mansfield's neck. I wonder how this line fits in with the other jarface geometries?

a long, long time ago, in a thread far, far away... or maybe not, Just not one I was able to re-locate, (I thought it was in the Italian "Wired", but I don't find it there) anyway, there was this PID timeline, which stated that the Pepper drum+mirror clue was first discovered in the 70's does this ring a bell with anyone?

Sniffer, that's possible. I have listened to the bootleg 8 CD set of the broadcasts on various radio stations that talked about the whole PID thing when it "went viral". (in 1969 terms) I don't remember that being a topic of discussion by anyone, more about the "hand" behind Paul, the bloody glove, etc.
I don't remember the thread you mentioned, sorry.

I originally posted that Joel Glazier first published the drum clue in the late seventies, but upon further examination Tafultong iamaphoney.blogspot.com/2008/10/correction.html says that the drum clue's discovery goes back to at least 1969.

Remember that each of The Beatles represents a letter based on the movements of their respective chess pieces: John: Bishop: V Ringo: Rook: E George: Knight: L This leaves Paul, who is an "O" on the back of Pepper because he is turned, a-round. But on the front of Pepper, Paul portrays the Eye, so Paul is an "I." This means that John, Ringo, Paul, and George together spell VEIL. They portray the veil of Solomon's temple. You are saying the Beatles are spelling LOVE or VEIL. I think they are also saying something more. The picture on the back sleeve is clearly printed mirrored (look at George's medal). So they are saying two different words at the same time: LOVE (feminine - read left to right) and EVIL (masculine - read right to left). Also they are saying: LIVE, but being the picture mirrored, it actually means DEAD.

Did you know that George commissioned a chess board for Ringo in 1973, where all the pieces were modelled on the hands of Ringo? This is a picture of the chess board.
