The correlations of the Pink Floyd album "Dark Side of the Moon" with Paul is Dead clues have been
discussed here from time to time, and I have to credit GN for making me think about the lyrics:
"you raise the blade
you make the change
you re-arrange me 'til I'm sane"
from the song "Brain Damage". It would appear that the discoloring of Paul's hair
on the Early Beatles album might suggest he had had brain surgery.
People who have had brain surgery sometimes have a metal plate in their head where pieces
of the skull are missing. The discoloration of Paul's hair might be meant to suggest a metal plate
on his skull.
However one has to take into account that "The Early Beatles" was actually a re-release of the
old V-J album "The Beatles", but this time on the Capitol label, and it was released after a number
of the other albums had already come out, probably in about 1967.
Iamaphoney, in his Rotten Apple 76 shows Faul as being the one who had brain surgery,
so I am inclined to think that what was being attempted was the placement of a clue, visually, on
The Early Beatles, that "Paul" had had brain surgery, meaning that the one who people
think is Paul (Faul) had had brain surgery.
I think this was a clue for people who had not yet realized there was a replacement, and might
have been wondering why Paul's hair was discolored. A means to get the viewer started on investigating
the mystery, in other words.
Of course, this raises, in my mind, the question of whether this is meant to suggest that part of
Paul's brain was surgically implanted into Faul after he (Paul) had been in the car crash.
And of course, if something in the nature of a brain transplant (a la
Frankenstein) was attempted,
then surely Paul and Faul would have likely had to have been close kin for it to work.
