Hi all. I know this topic has been discussed a little on other PID forums, but I'd like to bring it up here.
I believe that John Lennon is still alive, that he moves around to various locations and that, sometimes, he hides in plain sight. There are a few factors that lead me to this conclusion:
1. Klaatu, the Canadian band that was active in Ontario, Canada mostly up to 1980/81. They recorded and performed seldom after 1981. They've also been associated with George Martin and Capitol Records. If you go to YouTube and listen to some of their old music, you can hear someone that sounds very much like John. By the way, after their 1981 album, they have no longer released their albums in the U.S. - only in Canada.
2. Tony Sheridan. Tony performed in Hamburg in the early 60s with the other three Beatles as Tony Sheridan and the Beatbrothers. We know that John loved Elvis-style 50s music. So why would it be so far-fetched for John to assume an identity so he could pursue the music he loved? Visit Tony's website and watch him on YT and see if you don't see a resemblance.
3. If it was his double who was shot in December 1980, then it would be necessary for John to seriously go into hiding, even become a wanderer at times, to prevent being recognized. Tony Sheridan released an album in 2002/2003 titled Vagabond. Coincidence?
Well, I can hardly wait to see the responses to this one. I know this is out in left field but I'm standing by it.

Hi knowthe411,
I just joined today and am interested in discovering more about John Lennon's possible replacement. He ceased to look and act like himself long before 1980. If you're still here on this board, I'd like to talk with you about this.
The band Klaatu sure does sound like Beatle's music. I'm not having much luck searching out any John Lennon look-alike for Tony Sheridan, though. Can you help me out with this by pointing me to a certain youtube? His website does not help much. Thank you in advance.

Case in point -
Sounds like the original John especially at 1.33 Also the bass playing - remarkably like the original JPM - very pronounced at bass solo 1.54. The style is him all the way - but in addition the tonal quality is there - which adds weight to the whole thing.
If it's not them, someone's doing an insane imitation.
Hi lads!

Goodness. I see what you mean! Although it does sound like the John imitator, too. That picture of the sun on the album cover reminds me of these lyrics: And now the time has come, and so my love I must go And though I lose a friend, in the end you will know One day you'll look to see I've gone For tomorrow may rain so I'LL FOLLOW THE SUNWhat story or explanation would you put with this? There have been possible John sightings, but why never any of Paul? Has anyone ever seen a picture of this group Klaatu, and does this name have a meaning, maybe a hidden one? See this page for rumors of them being the Beatles: www.klaatu.org/klaatu1.htmlramone, did you notice that was post #909 for you ;D?

Supposedly the official Klaatu pic. There's that sun again. Do these guys resemble John, Paul and Ringo after plastic surgery, or good makeup and other disguising? So, the rumors of Paul's death are denied, AND the rumors of them being this band are denied on Klaatu's own website. Is anyone ever going to give us the truth?

Quite frankly, more than anything else these guys look like three people who had just been busted for sexually molesting a pony. ...and they sound like a bunch of Beatles-wannabees, but nothing CLOSE to the real thing. Musically, their melodies and harmonies are much more left-field than the Beatles but somehow for the wrong reasons...it feels like they are DESPERATE for an original hook. the Beatles' hooks are much more...effortless. Vocal-wise, they sound less like the Beatles than Badfinger's Tom Evans, for example....which is kind of funny as the young Joey Molland looks more like Paul Mccartney than ANY of the other musicians who were named here recently as a possible "Real Faul"... If I may sidetrack, Badfinger really mystifies me. I keep looking for good songs but... other than "Come and get it" (by you-know-who) it's all mediocre...and these are the people the Beatles believed in so much? It almost feels like a special talent to be able to be this mediocre, with people like the Beatles around you. ...I guess "Without You" was successful, in it's gruesome way...providing us with: * 2 solid-gold super-schmaltzy ear worms, each deserving the creation of Punk and Gangsta-Rap as contra, respectively * 2 Music-History oddities, being the suicides of Ham and Evans * 1 brickshitting-funny video (you know what I'm talkin about)

Good thing those cameras and that sound equipment just happen to be in the foyer when the bobbies come in - we would've missed those we've got a job to do measure the displeasure expressions on their faces. 1981. George Harrison, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr get together in the studio to record George's song "All Those Years Ago", a tribute to John Lennon. George later said that this was not a Beatles reunion and that "There will be no Beatles reunion as long as John stays dead."--------------------------------------------------------Osw. I think Heather Mills thinks John is alive as well. In fact, maybe she KNOWS he is.

I'm intrigued...where does Heather Mills give any indication of John being alive? Why was his body spirited away and prevented him being mourned properly?
