As many of you may know, TKIN has posted some interesting material suggesting that Johnny
Hallyday and Paul McCartney vied with each other for the affections of Sylvie Vartan,
and that Paul and Sylvie may have actually been married, but that this was ignored by the
powers-that-were so that Johnny could 'marry' Sylvie whether she wanted this or not.
At one point, Johnny Halllyday is said to have attempted suicide, but no reasonable explanation
has been given for it, and Sylvie appears to have morphed into a male transvestite.
Anyway, Johnny is now in a coma, and his daughter attempted suicide.

The daughter of French rocker Johnny Hallyday has tried to commit suicide following a bitter
family row over his health.
Laura Smet, 26, was heart-broken when the man known as the ‘Gallic Elvis’ picked up a life-threatening
infection following a routine operation to correct a slipped disc carried out by leading neurosurgeon
Stephane Delajoux.
But she also happened to be the lover of Delajoux’s brother – a fact which left her loyalties tragically divided.
So much so that Miss Smet, as aspiring actress, was rushed to hospital on Sunday night after taking
a potentially fatal cocktail of drugs and alcohol in the St Germaine-des-Pres Church, on Paris’s Left Bank.
'She was in a very serious condition,' said a source at the nearby Val-de-Grace Hospital, where
Miss Smet was taken.
'A priest had found her on the floor, and alerted medics. She was severely traumatised and clearly
unable to cope with what was happening in her life.'
(Johnny) Hallyday, 66, whose real name is Jean-Philippe Smet, was last month placed in an artificial coma
in Los Angeles following the operation carried out by Dr Delajoux in Paris.
Hallyday’s battle to regain his health has gripped France, with passions running high as many
accused Dr Delajoux of botching the operating.
Even French President Nicolas Sarkozy, a close friend of Hallyday, expressed his ‘deep concern’.
Miss Smet, meanwhile, was forced to admit that she had recommended Dr Delajoux to
her father, because of his family links with her boyfriend, Julien Delajoux.
Matters came to a head in mid-December when Dr Delajoux was beaten up by two hooded
men in the centre of the French capital.
A few hours before Jean-Claude Camus, Hallyday’s producer, had accused the neurosurgeon of ‘butchery’.
Hallyday’s fans were particularly angry because the veteran singer had been gearing up for
a farewell world tour, but Miss Smet wrote a letter to a national newspaper denying she was torn
between her father and her lover.
'The only thing which is important to me is the health of my father,' she wrote in Le Journal du
Dimanche. ‘I am his daughter. I love him.’
The cancellation of Hallyday’s tour has already sparked a £27 million insurance dispute,
with the figure covering loss of profits including ticket sales.
If Dr Delajoux is found guilty of medical negligance, his insurance firm might have to pay.
Otherwise Mr Camus’s insurers will foot the bill.
Miss Smet’s mother is French actress Nathalie Baye, who is an ex-wife of Hallyday.
The singer wrote ‘Laura’, one of his most famous songs, in honour of his daughter.
She has suffered from depression and alcoholism in the past, and last tried to commit suicide in 2007,
following a break-up with a boyfriend.
Miss Smet’s lawyer, Herve Temime, said last night that she was recovering well following the last incident
and was no longer 'in any danger'.
(Johnny) Hallyday first shot to fame in France during the 1960s before becoming
one of his country’s biggest earning showbusiness stars ever since."
