Depends how you define successful.
(most posts, views, most accomplished? - and that has it's own definition)
But Tara Browne has 48,,291 views as of now. (same board as this)
2nd to rotten apple?
Maybe back threads have more someplace. Didn't check yet.

Yeah Ramone has the right idea, defining successful is not easy and it's subjective. The main RA thread of course has the most posts/hits, followed by song association.
There have been some pretty interesting thought provoking threads that will always be my personal favorites, but I couldn't really decide if the fall under the term 'successful'.
