I'm starting an "archive" thread of interesting posts from the "original" forum (before Number 9's). A lot of it was wiped, but there are still some interesting things there I'd like to "move over". **edited to add the link to "what's left" of that forum...anyone who wishes to "bring back" something posted there, please feel free to add to this thread. I did this in a tremendous hurry, and I'm sure I overlooked some things forum.onecenter.com/pid60if/

I want to ask you:
How was your impresion when you met Paul and Linda and how was the relation between John and Paul in this time when they met.
Please if you can answer me!!!!
Sorry for my english!!!
All my love!!!
Her answer:
Thank you for your email.
The meeting between John and Paul was very friendly. It was as if nothing happened and just two friends getting together. They came over lots of times to visit here in New York and Los Angeles.
Love,
May Pang

Message: I love when somebody who has no idea about the two different Paul's makes an ironicly telling remark without knowing it. I was reading Dave Barry's "Book of Bad Songs"; Dave Barry is an American humor columnist for those who don't know; anyway, he held a write-in poll asking people about the songs they hate the most and there was such a large response he wrote a book about it. Listen to these lines about Faul:
"There are a lot of bad love songs, but in my opinion the worst, when you consider who wrote it, is "Silly Love Songs" by Paul McCartney, because it...it...how do I find the words...it just sucks! The big question is: What happened to Paul? Did his brain get taken over by aliens? I mean, he was a BEATLE, for goshsakes, a certified genius, a man who wrote dozens of truly great songs, including such butt-kicking rockers as "I'm Down", and then for some mysterious reason he began cranking out songs like "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey", "Listen To What The Man Said" and "Let 'Em In", which expresses this powerful and universal theme:
Someones knockin' on my door Do me a favor, open the door and let 'em in!
Paul also got a number of votes for one line in "Live and Let Die": But if this ever-changing world in which we live in...", Mr. McCartney, step up and receive your "Certificate of Redundancy Certificate!" Not to keep picking on Paul, be he also co-sang on another truly bad love song, "The Girl Is Mine, with (speaking of aliens) Michael Jackson."
I've got to agree with Dave; what is with that "Magneto and Titanium Man" crap?: "I was talkin' last night, to Magneto and Titanium Man. We was talkin' about you, babe..." What the hell is that supposed to be?

Fri, Jul 25 2003 at 9:52 am Message: the interview and the picture that accompanied it were from DECEMBER, but the "paul is dead" rumors began weeks earlier (in oct/nov). according to "official" beatles history, paul was busy in october and november '66 working on the soundtrack to THE FAMILY WAY www.jpgr.co.uk/col_skl4847.html i wonder if the journalist in question was aware of the rumors when he had the interview? i doubt it. this entire thing may never have started if the guy had gone to the interview hearing about paul dying, only to encounter a "paul" that looked amazingly different than the one he'd become familiar with. anyone who had known paul before would have been going, "HUH?" looking at an impersonator.... which the man in that photo almost certainly is. this whole thing is BIZARRE.

Message: are you saying that paul never worked on any soundtrack in late 1966, and that the whole thing was fabricated to make it LOOK like mccartney was working on something? mamma mia! the implications of it all are staggering.
that FAMILY WAY soundtrack was really one mccartney track, arranged and scored many different ways, by george martin. so it's not even a full-fledged soundtrack.
it appears an entire month of paul's life is unaccounted for (october 1966).
