Okay, this is a somewhat speculative stab in the dark.
I've recently taken a strong interest in a thread here "Solution to Sgt Pepper Enigma, which can be found here:
invanddis.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=5758&page=1
Now it was in the context of that thread which I came up with this speuclation. However, this speculation may apply regardless of the truth or invalidity of that information. The starting point was the idea that Lewis Carroll and "Looking Glass" are a part of the Beatles / Paul enigma.
As is pointed out either in the above thread, or the Alice Statues thread (forget which) they lyric "Looking through a glass onion...." may directly reference this, and provide a clue toward deciphering the greater puzzle.
(Likewise with the looking glass ties of "L.S.D"..... "ties" being synonymous with "connections.")
So today I'm in the kitchen making myself a burrito (yum) and singing "Glass Onion" to myself. It was then that it struck me-- first of all, WTF is a "glass onion?" I can understand maybe Lennon chose "looking through a glass onion" to reference the Lewis Carroll story. However, that would leave us with "Looking through a glass...." and so how might "onion" fit in? Do we really think that word at the end of a potential clue might be randomly chosen?
It was then, that the idea occurred to me...... I heard the line kind of slowed down, syllable by syllable.... and the last words.... "glass on---yun"
And something clicked.....
"Looking through a glass.... on Jung?"
Carl Jung appears on the cover of Pepper.
Are we being told of another place to apply a mirror?
On that note.... does anyone know of any free decent software or websites that allow photo manipulation-- particularly mirroring certain sections of a picture? I haven't had / been able to locate my booklet for Sgt Pepper in ages, so I'm afraid I'm only left with digital copies... otherwise I'd be busy testing my theory, instead of prematurely writing this....
Thanks for reading...
