Lately, I've come across a number of posts that take note of the seemingly non sequiturial appearance of cats in The Beatles' video work, namely: Blue Jay Way and Yellow Submarine. People have speculated that the cats are a reference to many (9 or otherwise) lives and how that could relate to the large cast of men who played the roles of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
And, then, I ran across a post (elsewhere) that speculated "John Lennon" was ready to 'let the cat out of the bag' with regard to The Beatles Never Existed. And that, of course, made me think of John&Yoko™'s 'Bagism movement'.....
Do you think "John" thought of himself as a cat (an actor in the alternate cast playing a shared role) in a bag (of silence) ready to leap out?
