Well, Russ Gibb being Big Sur backwards and Big Sur being home to Esalen with all their projects aimed at exploration of human mind... It’s probably nothing but it just made me think that maybe JPM experienced something similar to Dylan’s “transfiguration”. Note how in an interview Dylan says his former (Bob Zimmerman) self is dead, what if “Paul is dead” points us to some similar experience? Dylan talks a lot of one Bobby Zimmerman who died in a motorcycle accident and of his own accident as well, not saying it’s any hint at what went on with JPM but could it be that JPM saw Tara’s death as part of his own “transfiguration” (and ACV hints at a certain love interest between him and Tara), hence the white car on the Pepper cover and in videos (Tara’s Lotus Elan was light blue, not exactly white but close)? Also, JPM too suffered a moped accident and his own car was later involved in a crash. Could it all add to the PID myth (and I mean “myth” in the most profound sense)? Of course it’s all pure conjecture but what if there’s something to it.

I think some of this kind of, maybe ties in to your transfiguration/accident theme?

NB: I'm not on fully on board with the the cloning centres stuff, most obvious first answer is doubles and disguised actor replacements or even secret twins. But given what the system has put out there regarding cloning I can't dismiss it entirely.
